Introduction
Based on the current situation of insufficient forest resources and the contradiction between timber supply and demand in China, the cultivation and construction of fast-growing and high-yield timber forests has become
The inevitable choice of China's commodity strategy in the 21st century. To standardize fast-growing and high-yield timber cultivation techniques, improve the quality and effectiveness of afforestation, and effectively protect
Protecting natural forest resources, solving the contradiction between supply and demand of wood, meeting the needs of sustainable development of forestry and building a harmonious society in China, and formulating this standard.
Technical specification for fast-growing and high-yield timber forest cultivation
1 Scope
This standard stipulates the principles, technical methods and requirements for the cultivation of fast-growing and high-yield timber.
This standard applies to the cultivation of fast-growing and high-yield timber forests of various ownerships in the country.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this standard.
3.1
Intensive management of plantation forests with the goal of cultivating materials, fast growth, high yield, good quality and short rotation period.
3.2
After manual breeding and through rigorous testing and identification, it is proved that in the suitable area, in the yield and quality as well as other major economic traits
It is obviously superior to the local main varieties and has reproductive value of production materials. In the current forestry production practice, the forest species include trials.
(identified) excellent provenance, good family, excellent clones and their reproductive materials.
3.3
Germplasm refers to the genetic material passed on to the next generation by the previous generation. The germplasm material is the carrier of genetic material that can be passed on to the next generation. In practice,
Generally refers to a collection of genetic variations within a species that are relatively stable in hereditary traits, with certain morphological and biological characteristics, including provenance,
Family, clonal, excellent tree, local variety, and judged varieties.
3.4
The seedlings are thick and strong, fully lignified, the roots are fully developed, no mechanical damage, no forestry quarantine pests and serious pests, afforestation
The survival rate is high, the seedling period is short, and the seedlings are robust. Generally, the field bare root seedlings are required to meet the standards of Class I seedlings.
3.5
The geographical area in which trees are cultivated. Usually, a tree cultivation area is large, and it needs to be based on the landform, climate, vegetation, and soil in the cultivation area.
