This standard applies to the measurement of energy consumption of cold- chamber die-casting machines and hot-chamber die-casting machines (hereinafter referred to as die-casting machines). This standard does not apply to auxiliary equipment of die-casting machines, such as the measurement of energy consumption of holding furnaces, ladlers, extractors, sprayers, other equipment of cold-chamber die-casting machines, as well as the extractors, sprayers, other equipment of hot-chamber die-casting machines. 2 Normative references The following documents are essential to the application of this document. For the dated documents, only the versions with the dates indicated are applicable to this document; for the undated documents, only the latest version (including all the amendments) is applicable to this standard. GB 20906 Safety requirements for high pressure metal diecasting units GB/T 21269 Cold chamber die casting machines JB/T 6309.1 Hot chamber die casting machine - Part 1: Basic parameters JB/T 6309.2 Hot chamber die casting machine - Part 2: Testing of the accuracy JB/T 6309.3 Hot chamber die casting machine - Part 3: Technical requirements a) External fluid supply equipment, such as cooling water, compressed air, etc.; b) Auxiliary equipment, which is used with die-casting machine, such as holding furnace, ladler, extractor, sprayer, etc. of cold-chamber die-casting machine, as well as the extractor and sprayer of hot-chamber die-casting machine. 4.2.7 Hot-chamber die-casting machine: The temperature of the holding furnace, the nozzle temperature, the gooseneck temperature system are all set to the ambient temperature. 4.2.8 The oil temperature of the hydraulic system shall be within 30 °C ~ 55 °C. 4.2.9 There is no option for tracking of the injection plunger of the cold chamber die-casting machine. 4.2.10 The nozzle action of the hot-chamber die-casting machine is selected as the fixed nozzle. 4.3 Test method The test method is as follows: a) Confirm the integrity of the tested sample machine. b) Reliably connect the three-phase power tester TO the power inlet end of the die-casting machine. c) Set the parameters of the cold-chamber die-casting machine, according to Table 1 and Table 3; complete the filling in Table 1. Set the parameters of the hot-chamber die-casting machine, according to Table 2 and Table 4; complete the filling in Table 2. d) After sample machine to be tested enters the state of continuous operation, in fully automatic mode, AND confirming that the sample machine to be tested reaches thermal equilibrium, start the energy consumption test. e) For each test, the number of dry cycles shall meet the requirements of 4.2.4. 4.4 Data collection After the energy consumption test is over, the following data shall be collected, on the man-machine interface of the three-phase power tester and the tested sample machine, respectively: a) The electrical energy consumption of the whole machine E, in the unit of kilowatt hour (kW•h); b) The power factor of the whole machine cosφ; c) The number of cycles n, in the unit of cycles; d) The time of one dry cycle of the tested sample machine t, in seconds (s) 4.5 Energy consumption calculation The energy consumption is calculated as follows: a) The energy consumption per cycle, Ed, is calculated according to formula (1). Where: Ed - Energy consumption per cycle, in kilowatt hour per cycle (kW•h/cycle); E - The energy consumption of the whole machine, in kilowatt hour (kW•h); n - The number of dry cycles, in cycles. b) The specific machine related electrical energy consumption, Eb, is calculated according to formula (2). Where: Eb - The specific machine related electrical energy consumption, in kilowatt hour per kilo-Newton cycle [kW • h/ (kN • cycle)]; F - The measured clamping force of the tested sample machine, in kilonewtons (kN) 5 Parameter description In the die-casting machine's technical documents, it shall provide data on the overall power consumption, energy consumption per cycle, specific machine related electrical energy consumption, power factor, cycle time of the die- casting machine.
