This Standard refers to the US environmental labeling standard household cleaning agent (GS-8), washing powder (GS-11), etc. This Standard is a revision to "Technical requirement for environmental labeling products Household detergents" (HJBZ 8-1999). The main changes are as follows. - changed the standard name to household detergents, deleted the former industrial detergent; - divided household detergents into fabric detergents and care agents, tableware and fruit and vegetable detergents, hard surface cleaners and hand sanitizers; - retained and expanded the limit on the phosphate content of the product, added the biodegradability requirements of detergent surfactants; - added requirements for prohibited substances in raw materials and description and packaging of products; - deleted requirements for sodium carbonate and detergency ratio in the former edition. This Standard is applicable to certification of China environmental labeling products. This Standard was formulated by the Science and Technology Standards Department of the Ministry of Environmental Protection. Main drafting organization of this Standard. This Standard shall be implemented since May 1, 2009. Since the implementation of this Standard, HJBZ 8-1999 is repealed simultaneously. This Standard shall be interpreted by Ministry of Environmental Protection. Technical requirement for environmental labeling products - Household detergents 1 Scope This Standard specifies the basic requirements, technical content and test methods of environmental labeling products - household detergents. This Standard is applicable to household detergents, including fabric detergents and conditioners, tableware, fruit and vegetable detergents, hard surface cleaners and hand sanitizers. 2 Normative references The following standards contain the provisions which, through reference in this Standard, constitute the provisions of this Standard. For undated reference documents, the latest versions apply to this Standard. GB 15193.3-2003, Acute toxicity test GB/T 13171-2004, Laundry powders GB/T 16288, Laundry powders 3 Basic requirements 3.1 Product quality shall meet the respective quality standards. 3.2 Pollutant emissions from product manufacturing enterprises shall comply with the requirements of national or local pollutant discharge standards. 4 Technical content 4.1 Fabric detergent and care agent 4.1.1 The mass fraction of phosphate in the product (in terms of P2O5) must not exceed 1.1%. 4.1.2 The biodegradability of the surfactant used in the product shall not be less than 90%. 4.3.2 The biodegradability of the surfactant used in the product shall not be less than 90%. 4.3.3 Products must not use branched sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate (ABS), alkyl phenol ethoxylate (APEO), nitrogen triacetic acid and its salts (NTA), chlorine bleach, formaldehyde, etc. 4.3.4 The solvent used in the product shall not be added with ethylene glycol methyl ether, ethylene glycol methyl ether acetate, ethylene glycol ether, ethylene glycol ethyl ether acetate, diethylene glycol butyl ether acetate, n- hexane, halogenated hydrocarbon, fluorine. Carbon chloride, methanol, benzene, toluene, xylene and ethylbenzene. 4.3.5 Products must not use polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plastic as packaging containers. 4.3.6 The product shall be accompanied by detailed instructions, including the followings.
