Foreword
This Standard was drafted as per the rules specified in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This Standard replaced GB/T 8890-2007 Seamless Copper Alloy Tube for Heat-
Exchanger; compared with GB/T 8890-2007, this Standard has the major changes as
follows.
--- Added alloy code;
--- Modified alloy grade and state as per the new national standard; ‘
--- Added corresponding provisions of HSn72-1(C44300), BFe10-1.4-1(C70600),
BFe30-0.7(C71500) tubes;
--- Deleted specific provisions of HSn70-1B, HSn70-1AB chemical compositions;
which are modified into “the chemical compositions of tubes shall conform to the
corresponding grade provisions of GB/T 5231”;
--- Modified the tube wall-thickness allowable deviation; increased the requirements
for the high-precision-level wall-thickness;
--- Modified the tube length allowable deviation;
--- Added “tube outline dimension test method shall be performed as per the
provisions of GB/T 26303.1”;
--- Added tube pressure test;
--- Increased YS/T 482, YS/T 483 in chemical analysis method;
--- Modified the tensile specimen as per the provisions of GB/T 228.1-2010;
--- Added the provisions that “sampling method shall be performed as per the
provisions of YS/T 668; while the preparation of mechanical property and
technological property specimens shall be performed as per the provisions of
YS/T 815”.
This Standard was proposed by China Non-Ferrous Metals Industry Association.
This Standard shall be under the jurisdiction of National Technical Committee for
Standardization of Non-Ferrous Metals (SAC/TC 243).

3 Requirements
3.1 Product classification
3.1.1 Grade, state, specification
The grade, state, and specification of tube shall conform to the provisions of Table 1.
4.6 Non-destructive test
4.6.1 The tube eddy current test shall be performed as per the provisions of GB/T
5248 or determined through the negotiation between the supplier and purchaser.
4.6.2 The tube hydrostatic test shall be performed as per the provisions of GB/T 241.
4.6.3 Tube pneumatic test
When taking the pneumatic test, the tube shall be connected with the gas source with
pressure, keep the air with certain pressure within the tube; immerse the tube
completely into the water, check whether there is bubbles in the tube.
4.7 Grain size
The tube grain size test shall be performed as per the provisions of YS/T 347.
4.8 Surface quality
4.8.1 The tube carbon film test method shall be performed with reference of Appendix
A in GB/T 18033-2007.
4.8.2 The other surface quality problems of the tube shall be inspected through the
visual observation.
5 Inspection Rules
5.1 Inspection and acceptance
5.1.1 The tube shall be inspected by the supplier’s Technical Supervision Department;
so that ensure the product quality conform to the provisions of this Standard and the
order sheet (or contract); and fill in the quality certificate.
5.1.2 When receiving the product, the purchaser shall re-inspect the product as per
the provisions of this Standard and order sheet (or contract); if the re-inspected results
is not consistent with the provisions of this Standard or order sheet (or contract), it shall
be proposed to the suppler in written form, and solved through the negotiation between
the purchaser and supplier. The dispute on the surface quality and dimension deviation
shall be proposed within 1 month since receiving the product; other quality disputes
shall be proposed within 3 months since receiving the product. If arbitration is required,
the sampling for arbitration shall be jointly performed by the supplier and purchaser.
