Summary This standard specifies test methods for fire-resistant door and shutter assembly mounted in a vertical partition member openings. Such as: -hinged doors, pivot doors, -horizontal sliding doors, vertical sliding doors, sliding doors and segmented doors including links, -shutter doors, -other slide, folding, -shutter doors, -removable plate in the wall. This standard specifies test methods can also be determined by analogy to the level of fire resistance of non- load-bearing door and shutter direct application range given in Chapter 13 does not apply to the level of the door. This standard does not include the mechanical aspects of adaptability. Such as vibration test or endurance test. They are contained in the relevant product standard.

Foreword
This standard is modified in relation to "Fire-resistance Tests - Door and Shutter
Assemblies" (ISO 3008 2007) (English edition).
This standard is redrafted according to ISO 3008:2007. For the convenience of
comparison, the "Comparison List of Chapter and Article Numbers between ISO
3008:2007 and This Standard" is listed in Appendix A.
Considering China's national conditions, some changes are made in this standard at
adopting ISO 3008:2007. The relevant technical differences have already been
provided in the text and marked with perpendicular single line on the margin of
relevant clauses. “Technical Differences between this Standard and ISO 3008:2007
and Their Reasons” are provided in Appendix B for reference.
For the convenience of use, the following editorial changes of ISO 3008:2007 are
made in this standard:
--- "this international standard" is replaced by "this standard";
--- the comma "," used as the decimal point was replaced by the decimal point ". ";
--- the foreword and introduction in ISO 3008:2007 are deleted.
This standard replaces "Fire Resistance Tests - Door and Shutter Assemblies" (GB/T
7633-1987).
Compared with GB/T 7633-1987, the main changes in this standard are as follows:
--- the content of "Caution" is added to inform the users of matters concerned to be
noticed (in front of the "Scope" in this edition);
--- the chapter of "Scope" is added to further define the applicable object of this
standard (Chapter 1 in this edition);
--- the chapter of "Normative References" is added (Chapter 2 in this edition);
--- the chapter of "Terms and Definitions" is added (Chapter 3 in this edition);
--- the requirements of test equipment are modified (Chapter 1 in 1987 edition and
Chapter 4 in this edition);

--- the requirements of test specimen are modified, and the relevant clauses are

Fire Resistance Tests - Door and Shutter Assemblies
Caution: the attention of all persons concerned with managing and carrying out
this fire-resistance test is drawn to the fact that fire testing may be hazardous
and that there is a possibility that toxic and/or harmful smoke and gases may be
evolved during the test. Mechanical and operational hazards may also arise
during the construction of the test elements or structures, their test and
disposal of test residues. Therefore, an assessment of all potential hazards and
risks to health shall be made and safety precautions shall be identified and
provided. Appropriate training shall be given to relevant personnel. Laboratory
personnel shall ensure that they follow written safety instructions at all times.
1. Scope
This standard specifies the fire resistance test method for the door and shutter
assemblies installed at the opening of the vertical separating members, such as:
--- hinged and pivoted doors,
--- horizontally sliding and vertically sliding doors, including articulated sliding doors
and sectional doors;
--- rolling shutter doors;
--- other sliding or folding doors;
--- flap door;
--- removable panels in walls.
The test method specified in this standard can also be used to determine the fire
resistance of non-loadbearing horizontal doors by analogy. However, the direct
application field given in Chapter 13 is not valid for horizontal doors.
This standard does not include requirements of mechanical adaptability like shock test
or endurance test. Such tests are included in relevant product standards.
