a) Added the temperature control requirements for vibration cavitation test equipment (see 4.1.8);
b) Added the rotating disk cavitation test device and jet cavitation test device and their technical requirements (see 4.2 and 4.3);
c) Added test specimen processing accuracy requirements (see 5.1);
d) Added the specifications, dimensions and requirements for rotating disk cavitation test specimens and jet cavitation test specimens (see 5.2 and 5.3);
e) The temperature requirements in the test conditions have been changed (see 6.1.2, Chapter 6 of the.2009 edition);
f) Added optional test condition parameters (see 6.2);
g) The requirement to conduct a simulated vibration test before the test has been deleted (see 7.2 of the.2009 edition);
h) Added test time requirements (see 7.6);
i) Added parameter processing methods such as maximum cavitation rate and nominal incubation time (see 8.4).

Cavitation test method
1 Scope
This document specifies the test equipment, specimen preparation, test conditions, test procedures, data processing and test report for cavitation test.
This document is applicable to material cavitation tests using test devices such as vibration cavitation, rotating disk cavitation and jet cavitation, which are used to evaluate the performance of metal materials.
The damage caused by cavitation in fluid media and its cavitation resistance can be used as a reference for other materials that are subjected to cavitation caused by liquid impact.
