Introduction
GB/T 42710 "DC plugs and sockets for household and similar purposes" aims to standardize the technical requirements for DC plugs and sockets for household and similar purposes.
Ensure the safety of users when using DC electronic and electrical products when plugging and unplugging when powered.
GB/T 42710 consists of the following 2 parts.
---Part 1.General requirements. The purpose is to standardize the anti-shock protection, structural requirements,
Mechanical properties, electrical properties and other technical requirements.
---Part 2.Type dimensions. The purpose is to standardize the types and sizes of DC plugs and sockets for household and similar purposes.
This document can provide guidance for the production of DC plug and socket products for household and similar purposes, and improve the technical performance, safety and reliability of the products.
safety and ensure the safety of electricity consumption for the people.
DC plugs and sockets for household and similar purposes
Part 1.General requirements
1 Scope
This document specifies the classification, marking, protection against electric shock, structure, mechanical properties, and electrical properties of DC plugs and sockets for household and similar purposes.
and other technical requirements.
This document applies to household and similar purposes, indoor or outdoor use, only for direct current, rated voltage does not exceed 400V, rated
Plugs and fixed or portable socket-outlets with a current not exceeding 32A.
For DC sockets equipped with screwless terminals, the rated current is limited to a maximum of 16A DC.
Plugs and socket-outlets within the scope of this document are suitable for circuits in which the following protection has been implemented.
---Basic protection;
---Overcurrent protection (based on the maximum current of each socket not exceeding 16A);
---Fault protection (indirect contact protection); and
---Extra protection.
DC plugs and sockets that comply with the requirements of this document are suitable for use where the ambient temperature usually does not exceed 40°C, but during an average 24h
The temperature does not exceed 35℃, and the lower limit of ambient air temperature is -5℃.
For sockets that comply with the requirements of this document and are built-in or installed in equipment, the ambient temperature around the installation location must not exceed 35°C.
In places with special conditions, such as on ships, vehicles and hazardous places where explosions may occur, special structures may be required.
