Each batch consists of the steel wires with the same designation, the same furnace number, the same size, and the same delivery status. 9.3 Sampling quantity and sampling position The sampling quantity and sampling position of the steel wires shall conform to the provisions of Table 7. 9.4 Reinspection and judgment rules The reinspection and judgement rules of the steel wires shall conform to the provisions of GB/T 2103-2008. When the test results of the mechanical property are unqualified, the two ends of the steel wire coil shall be removed for a certain length and then double samples shall be taken for reinspection; the results shall conform to the provisions of this Standard. Even if one of the specimens in the reinspection results is unqualified, then such batch shall be judged to be unqualified. Inspection can also be taken on a disc-by-disc basis; only those qualified can be delivered. The summary list of the technical differences and their reasons is given in Appendix B for reference. This Standard replaces GB/T 4240-1993 "Stainless Steel Wires". Compared with GB/T 4240-1993, the main changes of this Standard are listed as follows. — The chapter of "Terms and Definitions" was added; — Delivery conditions for parts of the designations were added; — Provisions on the surface conditions were added; — The diameter ranges were enlarged from 0.05mm~14.0mm to 0.05mm~16.0mm for soft steel wires; from 0.50mm~14.0mm to 0.30mm~16.0mm for lightly drawn steel wires; and from 0.50mm~6.00mm to 0.10mm~12.0mm for cold drawn steel wires; — The marking examples were deleted; — The inner diameter of wire coils was enlarged; — The representation method of designation was modified; — The quantity of designations was increased from 23 to 36. Stainless steel wire 4240/9181 3420.111 TGBLNiCr GBh   5    Technical requirements    5.1 Chemical compositions 5.1.1 The chemical compositions (smelting analysis) of the steel used in steel wires shall be in accordance with those specified in GB 1220. 5.1.2 The permissible variation of chemical compositions for steel wire shall be in accordance with those specified in GB 222. 5.2 Delivery state The steel wire shall be delivered according to the delivery state specified in Table 1. Soft (R). steel wire has acid pickling and the similar treatment after having bright heat treatment or heat treatment. Light drawing (Q). steel wire is drawn of small extent of deformation after the heat treatment. Cold drawing (L). steel wire has general drawing after the heat treatment. those specified in Table 6. 7.4 Re-inspection and determining rules Re-inspection and determining rules shall be in accordance with the provisions specified in GB 2103. 8    Package, marks, and quality certificate    Package, marks, and quality certificate shall be in accordance with the provisions specified in GB 2103. Steel wire of austenite and ferrite types shall be packed according to type-Ⅱc; and that of martensite type shall be packed according to type-Ⅲ.
