2.Indoor polyvinyl chloride foam mats
1 Scope
This document specifies the classification, physical and chemical properties, test
methods and inspection rules for indoor polyvinyl chloride (PVC) foam mats.
This document applies to foam mats made from woven or non-woven fabrics as
substrates, using polyvinyl chloride paste resin with plasticizers and other additives as
coating material. These mats are manufactured through processes such as coating,
shaping, plasticizing, foaming, and post-processing. Non-foamed products may also be
manufactured using this document.

4 Classification
Products are divided into two categories according to their uses, see Table 1.
5 Physical and chemical properties
The physical and chemical properties of the product should comply with the
requirements of Table 2.
6 Test methods
6.1 Specimen extraction
From each batch of products, cut 0.5 m longitudinally as samples for physical and
chemical performance testing. The quantity should meet the requirements for all
physical and chemical performance tests in Chapter 5.Prepare the test specimens by
removing 50 mm of width from each end of the sample.
6.2 Specimen condition adjustment and test environment
Unless otherwise specified, the specimens shall be conditioned in accordance with
GB/T 2918 under a standard environment of (23±2)°C and (50±10)% relative humidity
for a period of not less than 4 h. The test shall be conducted under this environment.
6.3 Tensile load and elongation at break
Conduct the test in accordance with GB/T 3923.1.
6.4 Abrasion resistance
Conduct the test in accordance with 5.10 of QB/T 5115-2017.
6.5 Slip resistance
Conduct the test in accordance with 5.11 of QB/T 5115-2017.
6.6 Color fastness to rubbing
Test according to GB/T 3920, rubbing 10 times back and forth. The worst result among
the three specimens is deemed the test result.
6.7 Migratable elements
Test according to GB/T 26193.Sample preparation shall be in accordance with 8.2 of
GB 6675.4-2014.
6.8 Decomposable aromatic amine dyes
Test according to GB/T 17592.
6.9 Total polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs)
Test according to GB/T 28189.
6.10 Volatile organic compounds
Test according to QB/T 5354.
6.11 Formamide content
Test according to GB/T 34842.
6.12 Vinyl chloride monomer
Test according to 5.3 of GB 18586-2001.
7 Inspection rules
7.1 Exit-factory inspection
The items are items numbered 1, 2, and 10 in Table 2.
7.2 Type inspection
The items are all those specified in Table 2.
Type inspection should be conducted in any of the following circumstances.
a) During the trial design inspection period for new products or when transferring
old products to a new factory for production;
b) After mass production, if there are significant changes in materials or processes
that may affect product quality and performance;
c) During formal production, periodic inspection (every six months) should be
conducted regularly or after a certain amount of production has been accumulated;
d) When resuming production after a product suspension of more than 6 months;
e) When the results of the current exit-factory inspection differ significantly from
those of the previous type inspection.
7.3 Sampling
Each batch of products must be of the same category, color, material, and specifications,
and the quantity must not exceed 10000 pieces. Samples must be randomly selected
from each batch. The total sample volume must be no less than 0.25 m². The dimensions
of each individual sample must be no less than 100 mm × 100 mm.
