for children
1 Scope
This document specifies the physical and chemical properties, test methods and
inspection rules for polyethylene (PE)/ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA)
children's foam mats.
This document applies to children's foam mats made from low-density polyethylene,
ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer and their mixtures as the main raw materials, with the
addition of foaming agents, cross-linking agents and other additives, produced by the
molded foaming method and post-processing.

3 Terms and definitions
There are no terms or definitions that require definition in this document.
4 Physical and chemical properties
The physical and chemical properties of the product shall comply with the requirements
of Table 1.
5 Test methods
5.1 Preparation of specimens
The sample needs to be left to stand for 48 h before preparing the specimen.
5.2 Specimen condition adjustment and test environment
Unless otherwise specified, specimens shall be conditioned and tested in accordance
with GB/T 2918 in an environment of (23±2)°C and (50±10)% relative humidity.
Conditioning time shall not be less than 2 h, and testing shall be conducted under these
conditions.
5.3 Tensile strength
The test is carried out in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 6344, where the
specimen is type 1A and the tensile speed is (500±50) mm/min.
5.4 Elongation at break
The test is carried out in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 6344, where the
specimen is type 1A and the tensile speed is (500±50) mm/min.
5.5 Tear strength
The test is carried out in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 10808, with a tensile
speed of (500±50) mm/min.
5.6 Small parts testing
Conduct the test in accordance with the provisions of 5.2 of GB 6675.2-2014.
5.7 Color fastness to rubbing
The test is carried out in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 3920.The
reciprocating friction is repeated 10 times, and the worst result of the 3 specimens is
taken as the test result.
5.8 Water fastness
Conduct the test in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 5713.The worst result of
the 3 specimens shall be taken as the test result.
5.9 Formaldehyde emission
The test shall be conducted in accordance with Annex B of GB 50325-2020.
6 Inspection rules
6.1 Exit-factory inspection
The items are items 1, 2, and 14 in Table 1.
6.2 Type inspection
The items are the requirements specified in Chapter 4.
Type inspection shall be conducted in any of the following circumstances.
a) During trial production of new products or when transferring old products to a
new factory for production;
b) After batch production, if there are significant changes in materials or processes
that may affect product quality and performance;
c) During formal production, periodic inspection (every six months) shall be
conducted regularly or after a certain amount of production has been accumulated;
d) When resuming production after a product suspension of more than 6 months;
e) When the results of the current factory inspection differ significantly from those
of the previous type inspection.
