Melamine plastic tableware
1 Scope
This document specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking,
packaging, transportation and storage for melamine plastic tableware.
This document applies to melamine plastic tableware (hereinafter referred to as
tableware) made by mold pressing and thermosetting with melamine and formaldehyde
as the main raw materials or low polymers of melamine and formaldehyde as the main
raw materials.

The following documents, in whole or in part, are normatively referenced in this
document and are indispensable for its application. For dated references, only the
version corresponding to that date is applicable to this document; for undated references,
the latest version (including all amendments) is applicable to this document.

3 Terms and definitions
No terms and definitions shall be defined in this document.
4 Requirements
4.1 Appearance
The surface of the tableware shall be smooth and clean, and there shall be no defects
such as lack of material, obvious deformation, color difference, and uncleanness. The
decal pattern shall be aligned and clear; the sticker shall be flat and pressed, and the
sticker shall not be blistered.
4.2 Physical and mechanical properties
The physical and mechanical properties shall meet the requirements of Table 1.
6.2.2 Physical and mechanical properties
Randomly select seven samples, of which three are subjected to 1 ~ 5 tests in Table 1,
three are subjected to the dropping test only, and one is used as a comparison sample.
6.3 Inspection classification
6.3.1 Delivery inspection
The delivery inspection items are those listed in 4.1 and 4.2.
6.3.2 Type inspection
The type inspection items are all items in Chapter 4.Type inspection shall be carried
out in any of the following situations.
a) first production;
b) When the variety of raw materials, product structure, production process or
equipment is changed;
c) When the delivery inspection result is significantly different from the previous
type inspection result;
d) When the production which has been stopped for three months or more is resumed;
e) When continuous production lasts for one year;
f) When it is required by the relevant national quality supervision department.
6.4 Determination rules
6.4.1 Determination of qualified items
6.4.1.1 Appearance
If the appearance conforms to the provisions of 4.1, judge that the appearance conforms
to this document.
6.4.1.2 Physical and mechanical properties
If there is any unqualified item in the physical and mechanical properties, it shall be re-
sampled from the original batch for re-inspection. If the re-inspection results are all
qualified, judge that the physical and mechanical properties conform to this document.
6.4.2 Determination of a qualified batch
If all the inspection items are qualified, judge the batch to be in compliance with this
document.
