3 Variety sources and characteristics
The origin of Meishan pigs is the Taihu Basin of the alluvial plain of the Yangtze River Delta, and the central production areas are located in Taicang and Kunshan in Jiangsu Province and Jiading in Shanghai
District etc. Meishan pig is a landrace of river and sea type, with high fecundity characteristics.
4 Body shape and appearance characteristics
The coat of Meishan pigs is mainly black, and the ends of the limbs are white, commonly known as "white on the four feet", and part of the snout, underside of the abdomen, or tip of the tail is white. Small size
