Foreword

This Part of GB/T 3903 identically adopts the International Standard ISO 20865.2002 Footwear - Test methods for outsoles - Compression energy (English version). For easy use, this Part of GB/T 3903 makes the following editorial modifications. a) modified “this International Standard” to “this Part”; b) deleted the foreword of ISO 20865.2002; c) deleted the table of contents of ISO 20865.2002; d) used decimal point “.” to replace “,” which was used as decimal point; e) directly used a national standard as reference which is corresponding to the International standard that was used as reference in 20865.2002; f) deleted the appendix of ISO 20865.2002. This Part was proposed by China Light Industry Association. This Part shall be under the jurisdiction of National Technical Committee on Footwear of Standardization Administration of China. 1 Scope

This Part of GB/T 3903 specifies a method for the determination of the compression energy of outsoles. This Part is applicable to outsoles irrespective of the material.
