Wrought Aluminium and Aluminium Alloy Plates,
Sheets and Strips for General Engineering –
Part 2. Mechanical Properties
1 Scope
This Part of GB/T 3880 specifies mechanical properties of wrought aluminium and
aluminium alloy plates, sheets and strips for general engineering applications.
This Part is applicable to wrought aluminium and aluminium alloy plates, sheets and
strips (hereafter referred to as “plates, sheets and strips”) for general engineering
applications.
2 Mechanical Properties
Tensile testing of plates, sheets and strips under room temperature shall be in
accordance with those specified in Table 1. During bending properties testing, the bend
radius shall be in accordance with those specified in Table 1. Plates, sheets and strips
after bending test shall be free from crack on the surface. For the mechanical
properties of plates, sheets and strips with a thickness exceeding those specified in
Table 1, the actual measured results shall be accompanied.
