1 Scope
This standard specifies the determination of fatty acid methyl esters in aviation turbine fuels using high performance liquid chromatography evaporative light scattering detectors.

Note. The fatty acid methyl ester obtained from coconut oil is highly volatile and should not be measured using this standard.

3 Method summary
Conducting fatty acid methyl esters in aerospace turbine fuel samples with hydrocarbon matrices using high performance liquid chromatography with a normal phase silica column
