This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents"

This document replaces GB/T 3728-2007 "Ethyl acetate for industrial use". Compared with GB/T 3728-2007, except for structural adjustment and editing
In addition to sexual changes, the main technical changes are as follows.
---Changed the technical requirements (see Table 1, Chapter 3 of the.2007 edition);
---Deleted the odor requirements and test methods (see Chapter 3 and 4.9 of the.2007 edition);
---The test methods for the determination of ethyl acetate and ethanol have been changed, and the test methods for the determination of benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and xylene have been added (see
5.4,.2007 version of 4.2 and 4.3);
---Changed the determination method of moisture (see 5.5, 4.4 of the.2007 edition);
---The safety part is adjusted to an informative appendix (see Appendix B, Chapter 7 of the.2007 edition).

1 Scope
This document specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation and storage of ethyl acetate for industrial use.
This document applies to industrial ethyl acetate produced by the esterification of acetic acid and ethanol under a catalyst.
Note. The molecular formula of ethyl acetate is C4H8O2, the structural formula is CH3COOCH2CH3, and the relative molecular mass is 88.11 (according to the 2022 international relative atomic mass
quantity).
