Vibration damping clad steel sheet
1 Scope
This Standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and code,
ordering content, dimensions, weight as well as allowable deviation, technical
requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marks and quality
certificate of vibration damping clad steel sheet.
This Standard is applicable to the steel sheet with vibration damping of which
the thickness is 0.60mm~3.00mm used in the fields of automotive, home
appliance, construction, machinery, etc. (hereinafter referred to as “vibration
damping sheet”). The vibration damping clad steel sheet supplied with steel coil
can also be implemented with reference to this Standard.
2 Normative references

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1 vibration damping clad steel sheet
the product that a damping material is added to the two layers of steel sheets
(hereinafter referred to as the substrate); it is supplied in rectangular plate, with

7.1 Substrate
The substrate of the vibration damping sheet can use GB/T 2518, GB/T 5213,
GB/T 14978, GB/T 15675, GB/T 20564, etc. If the purchaser needs other types
of substrates, it can be negotiated at the time of ordering.
7.2 Chemical composition
The chemical composition of the vibration damping sheet shall comply with the
requirements of the corresponding substrate standard.
7.3 Delivery status
The vibration damping sheets are usually supplied when they are oiled. The oil
film shall be removed with an aqueous alkali solution or a normal solution.
Under normal conditions of packaging, transport, loading-unloading and
storage, the supplier shall ensure that the surface of the vibration damping
sheet does not rust within 6 months from the date of completion of manufacture.
If the purchaser asks the products delivered when they are not oiled, it shall be
negotiated at the time of ordering.
7.4 Mechanical properties and coating properties
7.4.1 Mechanical properties of the vibration damping sheet refer to the
mechanical properties of the substrate.
NOTE. Due to the influence of aging, the mechanical properties of the steel plate shall
deteriorate with the storage time, such as the increase in yield strength and tensile strength,
decrease in elongation after fracture, poor formability, tensile strain marks. It is
recommended to use as early as possible.
7.4.2 Coating performance shall meet the requirements of the corresponding
substrate standards.
7.5 Technology performance
7.5.1 The T-peel strength of the vibration damping sheet shall comply with the
requirements of Table 5.

9 Inspection rules
9.1 The inspection and acceptance of the vibration damping sheet shall be
carried out by the supplier quality inspection department.
9.2 The vibration damping sheet shall be accepted by batch. Each inspection
lot shall consist of the vibration damping sheets of the same designation, the
same specification, the same set of damping adhesives and the same
processing technology.
9.3 The sampling quantity and sampling method of the vibration damping sheet
shall comply with the provisions of Table 7.
9.4 The re-inspection and determination rules of the vibration damping sheet
shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 17505.
9.5 The test results are rounded up according to the comparison method of
rounded value. The rounding rules shall comply with the provisions of GB/T
8170.
10 Packaging, marks and quality certificate
The packaging, marks and quality certificate of vibration damping sheet shall
comply with the provisions of GB/T 247.
