for Energy Management System of Microgrids
1 Scope
This Standard specifies technical requirements of energy management system for
microgrids, such as structure, configuration, working environment and conditions,
system functions and performance indexes.
This Standard is applicable to the construction, reconstruction and expansion of
microgrids (voltage level. 35 kV and below).
2 Normative References
The following documents are indispensable to the application of this Standard. In terms
of references with a specified date, only versions with a specified date are applicable
to this Standard. The latest version (including all the modifications) of references
without a specified date is also applicable to this Standard.

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions are applicable to this Standard.
6.3 Software Configuration
6.3.1 Energy management system for microgrids shall include operation system,
supportive software and application software.
6.3.2 Energy management system for microgrids (voltage level. 10 kV and above) shall
be equipped with real-time database and historical database.
6.3.3 Supportive software shall include certain functional modules, such as data
acquisition management, database management, network communication
management, graphic management, statement management, authority management,
alarm management and calculation statistics, etc.
6.4 Communication
6.4.1 Communication between microgrid energy management system and microgrid
monitoring system shall adopt the mode of twisted pair lines and optical fiber
communication; DL/T 634.5101, DL/T 634.5104 and DL/T 860 shall be adopted as
communication protocols.
6.4.2 Communication between microgrid energy management system and power
dispatching agency shall adopt the mode of twisted pair lines and optical fiber
communication; DL/T 634.5101, DL/T 634.5104 and DL/T 860 shall be adopted as
communication protocols.
7 System Functions
7.1 Power Generation Forecasting
7.1.1 In terms of microgrid system that includes intermittent power generation forms,
such as wind power and photovoltaic power generation, microgrid energy
management system shall be equipped with the function of resource monitoring.
7.1.2 In terms of microgrid system that includes intermittent power generation forms,
such as wind power and photovoltaic power generation, microgrid energy
management system shall be equipped with the function of corresponding power
forecasting of wind power and photovoltaic power generation.
7.1.3 Microgrid energy management system shall forecast the power of power
generation through historical and actually measured data; it shall also be able to
receive data of power forecasting.
7.2 Distributed Power Management
7.2.1 Microgrid energy management system shall be equipped with the function of
corresponding fuel management of power generation devices in the microgrid, such
as gas turbine and diesel engine, etc. This function includes statistics of fuel
7.4.2 Microgrid energy management system shall include power generation and
utilization plan a few days ago and within a few days. Power generation and utilization

accordance with two modes, namely, manual input and automatic generation.
7.5 Voltage Reactive Management
7.5.1 Microgrid energy management system shall conduct optimal configuration of the
operation of reactive voltage in the microgrid. The setting of reactive voltage operating
mode includes power factor control mode, reactive power control mode and voltage
control mode, etc. The set value or range of parameters of the selected control mode
shall also be provided.
7.5.2 Microgrid energy management system shall be able to provide the set value or
range of parameters of the selected reactive voltage operating mode, including voltage
limit, reactive power limit, power factor limit, dead zone, time limit and gradient, etc.
7.5.3 Microgrid energy management system shall be equipped with the function of
setting the input sequence of reactive power compensation equipment.
7.6 Statistical Analysis and Evaluation
7.6.1 In terms of microgrid that adopts wind power generation or photovoltaic power
generation as the main power, microgrid energy management system shall conduct
resource analysis in accordance with wind power and solar energy monitoring data.
7.6.2 Microgrid energy management system shall conduct statistical analysis of the
internal power generation, utilization and storage system of the microgrid, as well as
electric energy exchange between the microgrid and ......
