1 Scope
This Standard specifies the basic composition and expression of the production model
of the child restraint system of power-driven vehicles, the basic composition of the
product identification code of the child restraint system, the location of the content mark,
and the marking requirements.
This Standard is applicable to child restraint system products of motor vehicles sold in
China.
This Standard does not apply to the identification and coding of components of child
restraint system.
2 Normative references
The following referenced documents are indispensable for the application of this

3 Terms and definitions
The terms and definitions specified in GB 27887 and below shall apply to this
document.
3.1 Production model
A set of codes specified to identify a child restraint system, which may consist of letters
and numbers.
3.2 Identification number
A set of codes, composed of letters and numbers, assigned for the product by the child
restraint system brand owner, in order to identify the basic features of the child restraint
system.
3.3 Fixing method
The installation and fastening method of child restraint system on vehicles, such as
seat belt, ISOFIX, etc.
3.4 Category
Classification of the child constraint system according to the location fixed on the
vehicle, such as universal, restrained, semi-universal, and special vehicle.
3.5 Class
Classification of child restraint system according to the ways children are constrained,
such as integral or non-integral.
3.6 Group
The five quality groups of the child restraint system. group 0, group 0+, group Ⅰ, group
Ⅱ and group Ⅲ.
Note 1. group 0 is used for children weight less than 10kg.
Note 2. group 0+ is used for children weight less than 13kg.
Note 3. group Ⅰ is used for children weight 9kg ~ 18kg.
Note 4. group Ⅱ is used for children weight 15kg ~ 25kg.
Note 5. group Ⅲ is used for children weight 22kg ~ 36kg.
4 Production model and composition method
4.1 Basic composition
4.1.1 The child restraint system production model mainly consists of the company code,
product design code and modification code. If necessary, company specified content
code can be added.
4.1.2 Company code, product design code, modification code and company specified
content code shall be determined by the child restraint system brand owner.
