GB/T 34657 Interoperability test specifications of electric vehicle conductive
charging is divided into 2 parts.
— Part 1. Supply equipment;
— Part 2. Vehicle.
This is Part 2 of GB/T 34657.
This Part was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This Part was proposed by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology
of the People’s Republic of China.
This Part shall be under the jurisdiction of National Technical Committee for
Standardization of Automobiles (SAC/TC 114).

1 Scope
This Part of GB/T 34657 specifies the inspection rules, test conditions, test
items, test methods and conformance assessment for the interoperability test
of electric vehicle conductive charging.

GB/T 34658-2017 Conformance test for communication protocols between
off-board conductive charger and battery management system for electric
vehicle
DISCHARGE the power storage battery according to the method specified by
the vehicle manufacturer. If the vehicle manufacturer does not provide a specific
discharge plan, the discharge operation can be carried out by the vehicle driving
(on a road or on a gantry). The reference discharge termination conditions are
as follows.
a) The discharge termination conditions for a blade electric vehicle or a plug-
in hybrid electric vehicle that can be manually selected for pure electric
mode are as follows.
— The vehicle cannot drive at 65% of the maximum speed of 30min, or
— The vehicle reminds the driver to stop the vehicle due to a low state of
charge, or
— After driving 100km.
b) The discharge termination conditions for a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle
that cannot be manually selected for pure electric mode are as follows.
— The speed is stable at 50km/h ± 2km/h, until the vehicle’s engine starts
by itself, or
— If the engine is not started and if the vehicle cannot reach a stable
speed of 50km/h ± 2km/h, it shall be reduced to a suitable speed to
ensure that the vehicle is able to run steadily, and that the engine does
not start within a specified time or distance (determined between the
test organization and the manufacturer).
The engine shall be stopped within 10s after self-starting of the motor.
5.5 Other requirements
AC charging connection devices used for testing vehicles shall meet GB/T
20234.2-2015. DC charging connection devices shall meet GB/T 20234.3-2015.
6 Test items
6.1 Socket space size check
Test purpose. CHECK the normal operating space of the vehicle socket.
Test method. USE a standard plug that conforms to the maximum external
dimensions specified in Annex C of GB/T 20234.2-2015 and / or Annex C of
GB/T 20234.3-2015 for plugging and unplugging operations.
Conformance assessment. The vehicle socket and the vehicle plug shall be
suspension message, CHECK the communication state of the vehicle;
d) REPEAT the step b).
Conformance assessment.
— After the vehicle satisfies the charging termination conditions, the vehicle
shall send a BMS charging termination message;
— After the test system sends the charger charging termination message, the
vehicle shall send a BMS statistical data message;
— After the charge current is less than 5A, the vehicle shall disconnect K5 and
K6.
6.2.3 Charging connection control timing test
Test purpose. CHECK whether the vehicle’s charging connection control timing
is normal.
Test method and procedures. In the normal charging process, CHECK the
voltage value at test point 1, voltage value at test point 2, K5 and K6 state,
charging state, and communication state.
Conformance assessment. The state transition and interval of the vehicle
charging connection shall meet the requirements of B.5 and B.6 of GB/T
18487.1-2015.
6.2.4 Charging abnormal state test
6.2.4.1 Insulation fault test
Test purpose. CHECK the vehicle’s insulation fault monitoring function.
Test method and procedures.
a) In the normal charging process, SET the charging current to be less than
5A.
b) USE a test resistance to conduct insulation test between the vehicle’s
charging DC circuits DC+ and PE, DC- and PE. The selected test resistance,
Rt, satisfies 100Ω/V< Rt ≤ 500Ω/V and Rt ≤ 100Ω/V, respectively;
c) CHECK the vehicle’s communication state, K5 and K6 state.
Conformance assessment.
— The vehicle’s insulation fault monitoring function shall respond within 100s,
complying with the requirements of B.4.1 in GB/T 18487.1-2015;
— In case of Rt ≤ 100Ω/V, the vehicle shall meet the requirements of B.3.7.2
in GB/T 18487.1-2015.
6.3.2.4 Startup and charging stage test
Test purpose. CHECK the charging control function of the vehicle.
Test method and procedures.
a) The vehicle under test is set according to 5.4.2;
b) ADJUST the test system’s PWM signal duty ratio so that the test system’s
supply current value is greater than the vehicle’s rated charge current and
cable’s rated capacity;
c) After the switch S2 is closed, the test system starts charging; CHECK the
charging state of the vehicle;
d) When the rated charge current is greater than 16A, OPERATE the vehicle
plug’s mechanical lock; CHECK the state of the electronic locking device.
Conformance assessment.
— After the vehicle starts charging, the actual charging current value shall
meet the requirements of A.3.7 in GB/T 18487.1-2015;
— In the charging process, the electronic locking device shall remain locked.
6.3.2.5 Normal charging termination test
Test purpose. CHECK the vehicle’s response under normal charging
termination conditions.
Test method and procedures.
a) In the normal charging process, SIMULATE to reach the vehicle’s set
charging termination conditions or the instruction to stop charging the
vehicle;
b) CHECK the test point 1’s voltage value, and charging state;
