Recycling of traction battery used in electric vehicle -
Echelon use - Part 2: Removing requirements
1 Scope
This Part of GB/T34015 specifies the terms and definitions, general
requirements, operating requirements, temporary storage and management
requirements for the remove of traction battery (or power battery) used in
electric vehicle.
This Part applies to the removing process of traction lithium-ion battery packs
and traction nickel-hydrogen traction battery packs in the recycling process.
The removing process of other types of traction battery packs can be
implemented by reference.
This Part does not apply to the remove of traction batteries in the after-sales
maintenance of automobiles, nor does it apply to the remove of lead-acid
batteries.

3 Terms and definitions
Terms and definitions determined by GB/T 19596, GB/T 26989-2011 and the
following ones are applicable to this document.
3.1 Remove
4.3.2 It shall be equipped with lifting equipment, pneumatic tools, lifting tools,
load-bearing equipment, load-bearing devices and other supporting removing
tools that meet the requirements for insulation, strength, and structure functions.
4.3.3 It shall be equipped with high-voltage insulating gloves, insulating boots
and other insulating protective equipment, protective masks, anti-mechanical
injury gloves, anti-electric shock insulating rescue hooks and other safety
protective equipment and emergency rescue equipment.
4.3.4 It shall be equipped with insulation testing equipment, such as insulation
resistance tester.
4.3.5 It shall be equipped with traction battery safety assessment equipment,
such as leakage diagnostic testing equipment, non-contact remote infrared
temperature detector, electroscope, discharge rod, special labels and signs.
4.3.6 It shall be equipped with fire-fighting facilities, such as fire hydrants,
sandboxes, and fire extinguishers, that are required by the state.
4.3.7 It should be equipped with tools and equipment such as weighing,
manipulators, adjustable clamping arms, storage and packing containers.
4.4 Personnel requirements
4.4.1 During the removing process, at least two persons shall operate at the
same time; the operator shall hold an electrician certificate.
4.4.2 The removing personnel shall pass the removing enterprise’s professional
training, including but not limited to electric shock prevention, on-site first aid
training, and safety and environmental protection emergency plan training.
4.4.3 Professional skills shall meet the corresponding requirements of
standardized remove, environmental protection operation, safe operation; the
operator can take the post only after passing the assessment.
5 Operation requirements
5.1 Operation procedures
The remove of the traction battery shall follow the principles of safety,
environmental protection and reuse. The removing procedure is shown in
Figure 1.
a) If one or more of the test results are "Yes", the evaluation is not passed;
carry out the follow-up work after taking corresponding measures.
b) If all the test results are "No", the evaluation is passed; continue the follow-
up work.
5.4 Remove
5.4.1 Before removing, the removing personnel shall wear safety protective
equipment.
5.4.2 Perform the safe and standard remove in accordance with the operation
instructions that are formulated in 4.1.1.
5.4.3 Remove the wiring harness and connectors between the traction battery
and the electric vehicle.
5.4.4 Different tools, equipment and methods can be used for removing
according to the installation method or installation position of the traction battery:
a) If the traction battery is located under the chassis, the traction battery
bearing device shall be placed near the force point under the traction
battery for lifting preparation; ensure that the landing point of the battery
corresponds to the force point of the bearing device;
b) If the traction battery is located above the chassis, fix the lifting tool on the
traction battery for lifting preparation.
5.4.5 Insulation protection measures shall be taken for traction batteries and
insulation marks shall be made.
5.4.6 Use the load-bearing equipment and (or) lifting tool to lift the traction
battery; remove it from the vehicle.
5.4.7 Perform the safety assessment of the battery in accordance with the
removing operation instructions.
5.4.8 Perform insulation treatment, electric leakage treatment, liquid leakage
treatment of the traction battery; mark contents such as the above three items
and danger signs; transfer to the temporary storage area with warning signs of
isolation in time.
6 Temporary storage and management
6.1 Traction batteries shall be temporarily stored according to different
classifications. If there is electric leakage or liquid leakage, it shall be
temporarily stored in a special insulated and leak-proof storage container; if
