Coated Glass Fiber Products – Determination
of the Tension-Tension Fatigue Properties
1 Scope
This Standard specifies the method for determination of the tension-tension fatigue
properties of the coated glass fiber products.
This Standard is applicable to the products with glass fiber as the base materials, and
coated with polyvinyl chloride, polyurethane, fluorine resin, chloroprene rubber or
chlorosulfonated polyethylene rubber.

The following document is essential to the application of this document. For the dated
documents, only the versions with the dates indicated are applicable to this document;
for the undated documents, only the latest version (including all the amendments) are
applicable to this document.

Determination of Tensile Breaking Force and Elongation at Break for Glass Fiber
3 Principle
Cut the coated glass fiber product into strip-shaped specimen along the warp or weft;
perform certain cycle of cyclic tensile test; then determine the tensile properties of the
specimen; and measure its residual tensile breaking strength and elongation at break.
This Standard specifies two different types of specimens. Specimen A is the products
with glass fiber as the base material, and coated with polytetrafluoroethylene,
perfluoroalkoxy copolymer, or fluorinated ethylene propylene copolymer; Specimen B
is the products with glass fiber as the base material, and coated with polyvinyl chloride,
polyurethane, fluorine resin (excluding polytetrafluoroethylene, perfluoroalkoxy
copolymer, and fluorinated ethylene propylene copolymer), chloroprene rubber, or
chlorosulfonated polyethylene rubber.
