1 Scope
This document specifies the basic principles, evaluation indicators, evaluation methods and content framework of green product evaluation standards.
This document is applicable to the formulation and revision of green product evaluation standards, and guides the design, development and evaluation of green products.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
Green productgreenproduct
During the life cycle, it complies with environmental protection requirements, is harmless or less harmful to the ecological environment and human health, consumes less resources and energy, and has low carbon emissions.

4 Basic Principles
4.1 Determination of evaluation object
With reference to GB/T 7635.1, products with similar green and low-carbon characteristic indicators are grouped into one category as evaluation objects.
4.2 Selection of evaluation indicators
4.2.1 Life cycle concept
Evaluation indicators are selected based on the life cycle stages such as raw material acquisition, production, use, and waste disposal.
4.2.2 Operability
Evaluation indicators are quantifiable, detectable and verifiable.
4.2.3 Compatibility
The evaluation indicators take into account product resources, energy, environment, low carbon and quality attributes.

1 Scope
This Standard specifies the basic principle for assessment of green product,
assessment indicator and assessment method.
This Standard is applicable to the preparation and modification work for the specific
assessment standards of green products.
2 Normative References
The following documents are essential to the application of this document. For the
dated documents, only the versions with the dates indicated are applicable to this
document; for the undated documents, only the latest version (including all the

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions are applicable to this document.
3.1 Green product
The product, in the whole life cycle process, meets the requirements for environmental
protection, exerts no or lilt harm to the ecological environment or human health, with
small energy consumption and high quality.
3.2 Reference value of assessment indicator
The reference value of indicator setting for assessing the green product.

5.3.2 Energy property indicator
The energy property focuses on selecting the indicators such as energy saving and
energy efficiency, etc. during the product manufacturing and using processes.
5.3.3 Environment property indicator
The environment property focuses on selecting the indicators such as pollutant
discharge during the producing process, and toxic and hazardous substances release
during the using process.
5.3.4 Quality property indicator
The quality property focuses on selecting the indicators such as durability, health and
safety, etc. of the products with high consumer attention and influencing the high-end
quality.
5.4 Confirming principle for reference value of indicator
According to the product and industry features, aiming to assess and screen the green
product; adopting the following methods such as information collection, site
investigation, inspection and testing, literature search, expert advice, etc.; confirm the
reference value of indicator scientifically and reasonably. When confirming the
reference value of the assessment indicator, take the following principles that the
proportion of such domestic product meeting all indicator requirements doesn’t exceed
5%, and the proportion of such product meeting each single indicator requirements
doesn’t exceed 10% in principle, so that demonstrate the advantage of green product.
5.5 Inspection method indicator calculation method
In the assessment standards on different types of green products, the appendix shall
give calculation method and inspection method for each indicator; the relevant
indicator and inspection method shall give priority to the existing national or
international standards.
6 Assessment Method
This Standard adopts the method of indicator conformity assessment. The green
product shall meet the basic requirements and assessment indicator requirements.
