1 Scope
This Standard specifies the test method and evaluation of static decay time of textiles.
This Standard is applicable to various types of textiles. Other membrane materials can
be used for reference.

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions are applicable to this document.
3.1 Static decay time
The time required for the voltage of charged sample to decay to the given percentage
of its starting value.
4 Principle
After the sample is charged to 5000V, turn off the power; the voltage on the sample is
attenuated by earthing, then determine the time required by its voltage decaying to
500V.
