1 Scope
This Standard specifies the test method and evaluation of static decay time of textiles.
This Standard is applicable to various types of textiles. Other membrane materials can
be used for reference.

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions are applicable to this document.
3.1 Static decay time
The time required for the voltage of charged sample to decay to the given percentage
of its starting value.
4 Principle
After the sample is charged to 5000V, turn off the power; the voltage on the sample is
attenuated by earthing, then determine the time required by its voltage decaying to
500V.

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
Static decay time staticdecaytime
The time required for the voltage on the charged sample to decay to a given percentage of its starting value.

6 test conditions
A. the temperature is (23 ± 3) ℃, the relative humidity is (12 ± 3)%;
B. temperature is (20 ± 2) ℃, relative humidity is (35 ± 5)%;
C. temperature is (23 ± 3) ℃, relative humidity is (50 ± 5)%.
Other test environmental conditions should be indicated in the test report.
7 Sample preparation
If necessary, the sample is washed in accordance with 4A procedure in GB/T 8629-2001, and the sample is dried at 60 ° C for 1 hour,

8 test procedures
8.1 The specimen shall be fastened to the fixture in the metal shield (see Fig. 1). The specimen shall be kept parallel to the probe and the area of the fixture shall not be exposed
