Foreword
GB/T 33610 "Determination of deodorizing performance of textiles" includes the following three parts.
--- Part 1. General rules;
--- Part 2. Detective tube method;
--- Part 3. Gas chromatography.
This part is the third part of GB/T 33610.
This section is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This part uses the redrafting method to modify and adopt ISO 17299-3..2014 "Determination of deodorizing properties of textiles. Part 3. Gas phase color
Notation.
Compared with ISO 17299-3..2014, this part has more adjustments in structure.Appendix A lists this part and ISO 17299-3.

The main technical differences between this part and ISO 17299-3..2014 are as follows.
--- Deleted method B and related clauses in the international standard to increase operability and facilitate the implementation of the standard.
--- Deleted the description of Method B in the scope of application of Chapter 1 of ISO 17299-3..2014, and incorporated the description of Method A into the principle.
--- Regarding the normative references, this section has made adjustments with technical differences to adapt to China's technical conditions and adjustments.
Concentrated in Chapter 2 "Regulatory Reference Documents", the specific adjustments are as follows.
● Replaced ISO 139 with GB/T 6529 which adopted the international standard;
● Removed references to ISO 3696.

1 Scope
This part of GB/T 33610 specifies the method for measuring the deodorizing performance of textiles by gas chromatography.
This section applies to the determination of indole, isovaleric acid, 2-nonenal in various textile products.

3 Principle
Add the odorous substance to the container without contacting the sample, and contact the sample with the odorous gas for a predetermined time, then use a gas chromatograph (GC)
Determine the odor gas concentration in the container with and without the sample, and calculate the reduction rate of the odor chemical component concentration, each odor chemical component

4 Reagent
4.1 Indole (C8H7N). analytical grade, CAS number. 120-72-9.
4.2 Isovaleric acid (C5H10O2). 98.0% purity, CAS number. 503-74-2.
4.3 2-nonenal (C9H16O). 95.0% purity, CAS number. 18829-56-6.
4.4 Diluent gas. Nitrogen with a purity of 99.99% and above.
4.5 Ethanol. analytical grade.
5 Materials and equipment
5.1 Erlenmeyer flask. 500mL, glass material.
5.2 Volumetric flask. 1000mL.
5.3 Sealing film. a stretchable film that can block air.
5.4 Syringe. (5 ± 0.1) μL can be accurately drawn.
5.5 Air-tight Syringes. Needle tip length is about 4cm.
5.6 Balance. The division value is 0.0001g.
5.7 Gas chromatograph. with flame ionization detector (FID) or mass selection detector (MSD).
6 Humidity and test environment
The humidity test of the sample and the test before injection should be performed in the standard atmospheric environment specified in GB/T 6529.
