25.4mm (hereinafter referred to as "steel plates, sheets and strips") for abrasion-
resistant structural components of engineering machinery such as mining machinery,
construction machinery and agriculture machinery. This document can be used as
reference for the abrasion-resistant steel plates, sheets and strips used in other fields.

3 Terms and definitions
This document does not have terms and definitions that need to be defined.
4 Designation representation method
The designation of steel consists of two parts: the first letter of the Chinese pinyin "NM"
for "abrasion resistant" and the specified surface Brinell hardness value. The
designation of steel with low temperature toughness requirements consists of three parts:
the Chinese pinyin initials "NM" for "abrasion resistant", the specified surface Brinell
hardness value and the quality level symbol (D, E).
Example 1: NM500
NM - the initials of the Chinese pinyin for "abrasion resistant";
500 - The value of surface Brinell hardness.
Example 2: NM500D
NM - the initials of the Chinese pinyin for "abrasion resistant";
500 - The value of surface Brinell hardness;
D - The symbol of quality level.

added. The alloying elements and their content shall be indicated in the quality
certificate.
7.1.3 When Cu is used as a residual element in steel, its content shall not exceed 0.30%.
The As content shall not exceed 0.08%. If the supplier can guarantee it, no analysis is
required.
7.1.4 The carbon equivalent of steels that require low temperature toughness shall meet
