This Standard replaces GB/T 2350-1980 "Fluid power systems and components - Cylinders - Piston rod thread dimensions and types". Compared with GB/T 2350-1980, the main technical changes are as follows: - ADD "Terms and definitions" (see Clause 3); - Modify the identification code for the dimensions such as thread diameter and thread length, to meet the requirements of GB/T 9094 (see Table 1~Table 4 and Figure 1~Figure 9; tables of the 1980 edition); - ADD the mark of reference point (see Figure 1~Figure 9); - Internal and external thread types and dimensions of the piston rod ends of hydraulic cylinder and air cylinder are given in Table 2, Table 1, and Table 4, respectively (see Table 2, Table 1, and Table 4; tables of the 1980 edition); - ADD the types and dimensions of the wrench face and wrench hole of hydraulic cylinder and air cylinder piston rod end (see 5.2 and 6.2). This Standard uses the redraft law to modify and adopt ISO 4395:2009 "Fluid power systems and components - Cylinder piston rod end types and dimensions". The technical differences between this Standard and ISO 4395:2009 and ISO 4395:2009/Cor.1:2010 corrigenda and their reasons are as follows: - As for the normative references, this Standard has made adjustments with technical differences, to adapt to the technical conditions of China. The adjustments are mainly reflected in Clause 2 “Normative references”. The specific adjustments are as follows:  Replace ISO 6099 with GB/T 9094, which is identical to the international standard (see Clause 4);  Replace ISO 5598 with GB/T 17446, which is identical to the international standard (see Clause 3);  ADD reference to GB/T 2348 (see Clause 2). - Delete the dimensions A and KK in Figure 5, to correspond to the dimensions given in Table 3 (see Figure 5; Figure 5 of ISO 4395:2009). Fluid power systems and components - Cylinder piston rod thread types and dimensions 1 Scope This Standard specifies the common series of piston rod threads for hydraulic cylinders and air cylinders that use hydraulic oil (fluid) or compressed air as the working medium; as well as the wrench face and wrench hole dimensions for assembly and tightening of the piston rod threads. This Standard applies to the external connecting threads of hydraulic cylinder and air cylinder piston rods. 2 Normative references The following documents are indispensable for the application of this document. For the dated references, only the editions with the dates indicated are applicable to this document. For the undated references, the latest edition (including all the amendments) are applicable to this document.
