Foreword
This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This standard replaces GB/T 1996-2003 "metallurgical coke", this standard compared with GB/T 1996-2003, the main technical content changes
as follows.
--- Modify the normative references (see Chapter 2);
--- Removed terms and definitions (see Chapter 3 of the.2003 edition);
--- Modify the sulfur content St, d indicators, will be a change from ≤ 0.60% ≤ 0.70%, two from ≤ 0.80% to ≤ 0.90%
Level 3 was changed from ≤1.00% to ≤1.10% (see Table 1 in 3.1);
--- Modify the crushing strength M25 index, the second level by ≥88.0% to ≥89.0%, three from ≥83.0% to
≥85.0% (see Table 1 in 3.1);
--- Modify the crushing strength M40 indicators, the first class from ≥ 80.0% to ≥ 82.0%, two from ≥ 76.0% to
≥78.0%, three levels from ≥72.0% to ≥74.0% (see Table 3.1 in Table 1);
--- Modify the M10 wear resistance index, a modified to ≤ 7.0% (see Table 3.1 in Table 1);
--- Revised after the reaction strength (CSR) indicators, a level from ≥ 55% to ≥ 60%, two from ≥ 50% to ≥ 55%
(See Table 1 in 3.1);
--- Increased CDQ moisture content (Mt) ≤2.0% (see Table 3.1 in Table 1);
--- Modify the wet quenching moisture content (Mt) ≤ 7.0% (see Table 3.1 in 3.1);
--- Modify the coke content is ≤ 5.0% (see Table 3.1 in 3.1);
--- Remove the "user needs, it should provide the reactivity and post-reaction strength data" requirement (see.2003 version 4.4);
--- Increasing the inspection rules (see Chapter 5);
--- Removed Appendix A (see the.2003 edition of Appendix A).
This standard is proposed by China Iron and Steel Association.

Metallurgical coke
1 Scope
This standard specifies the technical requirements of metallurgical coke, test methods, inspection rules, transport and quality certificates.
This standard applies to blast furnace smelting coke.
2 Normative references
The following documents for the application of this document is essential. For dated references, only the dated version applies to this article
Pieces. For undated references, the latest edition (including all amendments) applies to this document.

3 technical requirements
3.1 metallurgical coke technical indicators should be consistent with the provisions of Table 1.
3.2 Through negotiation between supply and demand, the crushing strength can be supplied by M25 or M40. When not specified, M40 is supplied.
3.3 moisture, coke content is not as a basis for quality assessment.
