1 Scope
This Part specifies the terms and definitions, classification and display method
of designation, general requirements, technical requirements, inspection and
measurement, packaging, storage, marks and quality certificate of Fe-based
amorphous soft magnetic alloy strips manufactured with fast quenching process.
This Part is applicable to Fe-based amorphous soft magnetic alloy strips used
for iron core of distribution transformer, medium frequency transformer, reactor,
filter inductor (hereinafter referred to as the strips).
2 Normative references
The following referenced documents are indispensable for the application of
this document. For dated references, only the edition cited applies. For undated
references, the latest edition of the referenced document (including any
amendments) applies.
GB/T 2900.1, Electrotechnical terminology Fundamental terms
GB/T 9637, Electrotechnical terminology - Magnetic materials and
components
3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions specified in GB/T
2900.1, GB/T 9637 and GB/T 15019 as well as the followings apply.
3.1 specific total loss
the total power absorbed by the homogeneous magnetized material per unit
mass, in watts per kilogram (W/kg)
3.2 specific apparent power
the apparent power
the total apparent power delivered to a unit mass of uniform magnetized
material, in volt-amperes per kilogram (VA/kg)
3.3 lamination factor
the ratio of the cross-sectional area of the magnetic material to the total cross-
sectional area of the stack
4 Classification and designation display method
The designation of the strips uses chemical element symbols and English
letters combined with the Arabic numerals by a connector. The general form of
the strip designation is.
5 General requirements
5.1 Production process
The production process and chemical composition of the strips are decided by
the supplier.
5.2 Delivery form
5.2.5 The strips shall be wound tightly, no local relaxation, no wrinkles, no
collapse, no falling off during handling due to self-weight, no lateral offset during
unwinding.
5.2.6 The strips may be spliced by removing defects. The front and back parts
of splicing shall be of same designation, same nominal width. The part of
splicing shall be marked.
5.2.7 The particular requirements for strip delivery form shall be determined
by the supplier and the purchaser.
5.3 Delivery conditions
The strips are normally delivered in non-sheared semi-processed state
(prepared state) with the absence of a top coat. The particular requirements for
strip delivery form shall be determined by the supplier and the purchaser.
5.4 Surface quality
5.4.1 The surface of the strips shall not have rusts, greases, fingerprints,
foreign materials or the continuous visible oxidation.
5.5 Shear adaptability
When using suitable equipment for cutting, any part of the strips shall be able
to be cut into the usual shape.
6 Technical requirements
6.1 Physical properties
6.1.1 The strips delivered in the semi-processed state (prepared state) shall
be heat-treated properly to obtain the desired magnetic properties.
6.1.2 The magnetic properties of the strips shall comply with the provisions of
Table 1, Table 2, Table 3, respectively. The heat treatment process is provided
by the supplier and indicated in the quality certificate. Any particular
requirements for magnetic properties may be determined by the supplier and
the purchaser.
6.1.3 See Table A.1 for other basic physical parameters of the strips.
6.2 Geometric characteristics
6.2.1 Thickness and allowable deviation
6.2.1.1 The nominal thicknesses of the strips are 0.020 mm, 0.025 mm, 0.030
mm.
6.2.2 Width and allowable deviation
6.2.2.1 The width scope of the strips is 10mm ~ 300mm. The specific size
shall be determined in the contract.
6.3 Technical characteristics
6.3.1 Density
The density used for the calculations of strip magnetic properties and lamination
factor is supplied by the supplier.
6.3.2 Lamination factor
The strip lamination factor shall comply with Table 1.
7 Inspection and measurement
7.1 General requirements
7.1.1 The strips shall be submitted for inspection and measurement. Each
casting furnace is an acceptance batch.
7.1.2 When the strips are supplied in divided coils. The measurement results
on the original acceptance batch apply to this divided coil.
7.2 Sampling
7.2.1 It shall extract a sample respectively on the head, the end of each batch
of the strips. When more than one coil is continuously produced in a casting
furnace, a sample shall be taken at the end of each coil. The particular
requirements shall be determined by the supplier and the purchaser.
7.3 Sample preparation
7.3.1 Physical properties
7.3.1.1 Measurements of DC magnetic properties and AC magnetic
properties by toroidal sample
7.3.2 Geometric characteristics
7.3.2.1 The sample preparation used to measure thickness shall comply with
the requirements of C.1.1.
7.3.2.2 The sample used for width measurement is usually a strip of a length
of 200 mm.
7.3.3 Technical characteristics
7.4 Measurement method
7.4.1 Physical properties
7.4.1.1 The measurement method of using a toroidal sample to measure DC
magnetic properties shall be in accordance with GB/T 13012.
7.4.3 Technical characteristics
7.4.3.1 For the strip used to product the distribution transformer iron core, the
measurement method of its lamination factor shall be in accordance with C.2.1.
7.5 Re-inspection and determination rules
If an inspection item fails, it shall allow to take samples double the number for
the re-inspection. Should an item fail in the re-inspection results, then this batch
of strips shall be unqualified.
8 Packaging, storage, marks and quality certificate
8.1 Packaging
The strip coil shall use moisture-proof packaging to ensure that the strips do
not have quality degradation due to corrosion within 6 months under unopened
conditions.
8.2 Storage
The packaged strips shall be stored in a dry and ventilated environment. Avoid
storage in humid or corrosive atmospheres. The reel of strip coil shall be placed
perpendicular to the horizontal plane.
8.3 Marks
The reel and packaging box of strip coil shall have firm mark that meets the
traceability requirements.
8.4 Quality certificate
Each batch of strips delivered shall be attached with quality certificate that
proves that this batch of strips comply with the provisions of this Part and order
contract. The quality certificate shall contain the following information.
