3 Types, basic parameters and dimensions
3.1 The enclosure protection degree of generators shall not be lower than the
specification of IP 44 of GB/T 4942.1-2006.
3.2 Generators shall have a reliable cooling method. In case of a forced-air cooling
method, it shall be ensured that the air introduced will cause no damage to generators;
in case of a water cooling method, there shall be no water seepage or water leakage.
3.3 The structure and installation type of generators shall meet the specification of
IM B3 of GB/T 997-2008.
3.4 The rating of generators is a continuous rating based on the continuous duty
system (S1).
3.5 It is recommended that single-speed generators are made according to the
following rated powers.
50 kW, 100 kW, 150 kW, 200 kW, 250 kW, 300 kW, 400 kW, 500 kW, 600 kW, 660 kW,
750 kW, 800 kW, 1,000 kW, 1,100 kW , 1,320 kW, 1,500 kW, 2,000 kW, 2,500 kW,
3,000 kW (in case of any special requirement, it can be as agreed on by user and
manufacturer).
3.6 The rated frequency of single-speed generators is 50 Hz; the synchronous
rotational speed is 1,500 r/min; the rated voltage is 690 V (in case of any special
temperature of the test site is different from those specified in 4.2, the temperature rise
limit shall be corrected as specified in GB/T 755. The temperature limit for bearings is
95°C.
4.7 After rated heat test, maintain the rated voltage unchanged and generators shall
be capable of bearing 1.15 times of rated load for 1 h. Then the temperature rise is not
assessed, but generators shall not have damages or harmful deformation.
4.8 Generators shall be capable of bearing 1.2 times of maximum operating
