Bibliography ... 28ForewordGB/T 18890 “Power cables with cross-linked polyethylene insulation and their
accessories for rated voltage of 220 kV (Um = 252 kV)” is divided into three parts.
- Part 1. Test methods and requirements;
- Part 2. Power cables;
- Part 3. Accessories.
This Part is Part 2 of GB/T 18890.
This Part is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This Part replaces GB/Z 18890.2-2002 “Power cables with cross-linked polyethylene
insulation and their accessories for rated voltage of 220 kV (Um = 252 kV) - Part 2.
Power cables with cross-linked polyethylene insulation for rated voltage of 220 kV (Um
= 252 kV)”. Compared with GB/Z 18890.2-2002, the main technical changes of this
Part are as follows.
- The nature of the standard is revised FROM technical guidance document TO
recommended standard;
- The standard name is revised FROM “Power cables with cross-linked
polyethylene insulation and their accessories for rated voltage of 220 kV (Um =
252 kV) - Part 2. Power cables with cross-linked polyethylene insulation for rated
voltage of 220 kV (Um = 252 kV)” TO “Power cables with cross-linked
polyethylene insulation and their accessories for rated voltage of 220 kV (Um =
252 kV)”;
- ADD the definition of metal-plastic laminated sheathes (see 3.2);
- ADD use characteristics and power cable ampacity (see 4.3);
- ADD the code, model and name of metal-plastic laminated sheathes (see 5.1,
Table 1);
- MODIFY the note of corrugated aluminum sheathes (see Table 1, note of 5.1 in
2002 edition);
- ADD the requirements and labeling methods for copper wire shielding (see 5.3);
- DELETE Chapter 6 “Materials” in 2002 edition, its content is included in the
relevant chapters of technical requirements;
Power cables with cross-linked polyethylene
insulation and their accessories for rated voltage of
220 kV (Um = 252 kV) - Part 2. Power cables1 ScopeThis Part of GB/T 18890 specifies the model, naming, technical requirements, test and
inspection rules, packaging, transportation and storage of fixedly installed power
cables with cross-linked polyethylene insulation for rated voltage of 220 kV (Um = 252
kV).
This Part applies to single-core power cables used under normal installation and
operating conditions; it is not applicable to the cables used under special conditions,
such as submarine power cables.2 Normative referencesThe following documents are essential to the application of this document. For the
