Wherein, the chemical composition and mechanical properties are consistent with the uniform requirements of IACS (International Association of Classification Societies) AND the specifications of CCS (China Classification Society). This Standard modifies the following technical contents on the basis of YB/T 897-1985. - Set the Standard name as “Steel bars for ship anchor chain”; - Set the designation as “CM370, CM490 and CM690”; - Cancel the grading provisions of grade-1, grade-2 and grade-3 anchor chain; - Modify the mass fraction of CM370 silicon into 0.15% ~ 0.35%; modify the mass fraction of CM490 and CM690 silicon into 0.15% ~ 0.55%; modify the upper limit of the mass fraction of CM490, CM690 phosphorus, and sulfur into 0.035%; - Stipulate the method of adding the elements of V, Ti and Nb in the steel and the lower limit of the content. - With reference to the uniform requirements of the current IACS (International Association of Classification Societies), adjust the dimensional deviation on the basis of the YB/T 897. From the date of the implementation of this Standard, the YB/T 897-1985 “Steel bars for electric welded anchor - Specification” shall be invalid.
