Foreword
This Standard was drafted as per the rules specified in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This Standard replaced GB/T 18363-2001 Filling Receptacle of CNG Vehicle.
Compared with GB/T 18363-2001, this Standard has the major technical changes as
follows.
--- Modified “Scope”;
--- Adjusted the Normative References. canceled the abolished CB 744 Quality
Inspection of Metallic and Chemical Coatings, and SY 7546-1996 Compressed
Natural Gas for Vehicle; added GB/T 19240 Mounting Requirements of Special
Equipment for Compressed Natural Vehicles, GB 18047 Compressed Natural
Gas as Vehicle Fuel, and CB/T 3764 Thickness Series and Quality Requirements
for Metallic and Chemical Coatings;
--- Modified “5.1.1” into “5.1.1 the quality and structure of filling receptacle shall
conform to the relevant provisions of QC/T 245, manufactured according to the
drawings and technical documents approved by the stipulated procedures”;
--- Modified “5.2.2 airtightness” into “after the filling receptacle takes the airtightness
test as per the test method stipulated in 6.4, its pressure-bearing parts and the
sealing position of one-way valve shall have no leakage or the leakage rate shall
be less than 20cm3/h (standard state). NOTE. the standard state indicates
temperature of 20°C, air pressure of 101.325 kPa. Below is the same.”;
--- Modified “6.8 compatibility test b)” into “b) compressor oil. synthetic compressor
oil (heavy duty L-DAC, viscosity class of 150)”;
--- Added “7.2 the inspection procedure shall perform the relevant item inspection
as per the serial number order and item stipulated in Table 2; the number of test
pieces for each item shall be no less than two pieces”.
This Standard was proposed by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
This Standard shall be under the jurisdiction of National Technical Committee for
Standardization of Automobile (SAC/TC 114).

Filling Receptacle of CNG Vehicle
1 Scope
This Standard specifies the type and model, technical requirements, test methods,
inspection rules, marking, package, transportation, storage and exit-factory documents
of filling receptacle of CNG vehicle.
This Standard is applicable to the filling receptacle of CNG vehicle using vehicle CNG
that meets the requirements of GB 18047 as the working medium, with nominal
working pressure of 20MPa (the pressure values in this Standard are all gauge
pressure), with working temperature of -40°C~120°C.
2 Normative References
The following documents are essential to the application of this document. For the
dated documents, only the versions with the dates indicated are applicable to this
document; for the undated documents, only the latest version (including all the
amendments) are applicable to this document.
GB/T 10125 Corrosion Tests in Artificial Atmospheres - Salt Spray Tests
GB 18047 Compressed Natural Gas as Vehicle Fuel

(CNG) Automobile
3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions are applicable to this document.
3.1 Receptacle
The part that connects the filling receptacle and filling gun.
3.2 Protective cap
After the one-way valve completes 30000 times of continuous working cycles, 24h
flutter and full flow impact test as per the test method stipulated in 6.6, it shall meet the
requirements of 5.2.2.
5.2.5 Oxidative aging resistance
After the non-metallic parts of the filling receptacle goes through the oxidative aging
resistance test as per the test method stipulated in 6.7, it shall be free of deformation,
cracks, deterioration, spots, and the like phenomena.
5.2.6 Compatibility
After the non-metallic parts of the filling receptacle performs the compatibility test as
per the test method stipulated in 6.8, it shall be free of cracks, breakage; the material’s
volume expansion rate shall be ≤25%, the shrinkage rate shall be ≤1%, while the
quality change shall be ≤10%.
5.2.7 Corrosion resistance
5.2.7.1 After the brass pressure-bearing parts with zinc content ≥15% performs the
corrosion resistance test as per the test method stipulated in 6.9.1, use 25X magnifier
to inspect, the components shall have no cracks.
5.2.7.2 After the filling receptacle finishes the salt spray test as per the test method
stipulated in 6.9.2, it shall meet the requirements of 5.2.2.
6 Test Methods
6.1 General rules
6.1.1 Test conditions
Unless otherwise is specified, the test shall be performed under the following
conditions.
a) The test environment temperature shall be 15°C~35°C;
b) The test medium shall be clean dry air or nitrogen.
6.1.2 Requirements for test instrument
Unless otherwise is specified, the test instrument shall meet the following requirements.
a) Pressure meter. the accuracy is no less than Level-1.5; the measuring range is
1.5~3 times of the measuring value.
slowly reduce to 0MPa; then stabilize the pressure for 3min at
22MPa, 0.5MPa, and 0.05MPa
6.5 Anti-impact load test of protective cap
The protective cap is installed on the fixed receptacle; then the steel ball with diameter
of 50mm, mass of 0.5kg drops from the height of 0.3m and impacts on the most
vulnerable part of the protective cap.
6.6 Durability test of one-way valve
Unless otherwise is specified, new test pieces shall be used for each of the following
tests.
a) 30000 times of working cycle test.
The inlet end of the filling receptacle is connected to the high-pressure gas
source; test pressure is increased from 0MPa to 22MPa; so that the one-way
valve is in the opened state. Then the inlet end shall relieve the pressure to 0MPa;
so that the one-way valve bears the 22MPa pressure and in the closed state;
maintain for at least 2s; then the outlet end shall relieve the pressure to 0MPa.
Repeat the cycle in such a method, so the one-way valve periodically opens and
closes. The opening-closing cycle frequency shall be no greater than
15times/min. The total number of cycle tests is 30000 times.
b) 24h flutter test
Make the one-way valve reach the most severe flutter state through adjusting
the flow rate of one-way valve, then maintain for 24h.
c) Full flow impact test
The starting pressure of the air supply on the inlet shall be 22MPa, the outlet flow
is not limited, the duration for each impact is no less than 2s; the air supply
pressure shall be no less than 16MPa when the impact is finished; then relieve
the inlet pressure, so that the one-way valve shall be closed. Perform 30 times
continuous impact tests.
6.7 Oxidative aging resistance test
The non-metallic parts of the filling receptacle in contact with the natural gas shall be
placed in the oxygen for 96h at a pressure of 2.0MPa, temperature of 70°C±2°C.
6.8 Compatibility test
Immerse the non-metallic parts of the filling receptacle in contact with natural gas into
the specified medium for 70h at the temperature of 23°C±2°C; when the medium is
For the test pieces that are tested or inspected qualified, if the inspection items may
influence its use performance or service life, then such test piece shall not be left the
factory as the qualified product.
