This document is applicable to the acquisition, storage, transportation, trade and processing of flaxseed. 2 Normative References The contents of the following documents constitute indispensable clauses of this document through the normative references in the text. When the grading index fails to satisfy the requirements, it shall be downgraded to the inferior grade; if the grading index reaches the third grade, but other indicators do not comply with the requirements, it shall be determined as sub-standard. 7 Labeling and Marking The product name, grade, place of origin, harvest year and country of production shall be marked on the packaging or accompanying documents. 8 Packaging, Storage and Transportation 8.1 Packaging The packaging shall be clean, firm and undamaged, tightly sealed and strong, and there shall be no leakage; it shall not bring contamination or abnormal odor to the product. When packed in gunny bags, it shall comply with the stipulations of GB/T 24904; when packed in plastic woven bags, it shall comply with the stipulations of GB/T 8946; or packed in accordance with the user’s requirements. 8.2 Storage It shall be stored in a clean, dry, rain-roof, moisture-proof, insect-proof, rodent-proof and odor- free warehouse, and shall not be mixed with toxic and harmful substances that may contaminate the flaxseeds or substances with a relatively high moisture content. 8.3 Transportation The means of transportation shall be clean, and prevent exposure to the sun, rain and moisture, as well as contamination and label peeling off, so as to reduce transportation loss.
