This standard replaces GB/T 11682-1989 "Low background α meter." 1 Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods and inspection rules for low background α and/or β measuring instrument. This standard applies to the measurement of weak α, β radioactivity or instrument surface emissivity, but also for multi-purpose instrument for measuring weak α or β Radioactive portion. This standard does not apply to measuring α or β spectrum types of instruments.
