I.0. I This Code is formulated with a v;ew to strengthen the construction rnanage-
ment . specify cons tru cti on techno!ogy , unify constructio.1 quality inspection and accept-
ance standard as well os ensure work auality for water and sewl'rage (hereinafter re-
fe rred to as ",vater and sewerage") pipel ine v;orks.
I.0.2 This Code is appl icabl e to construction, extens ion and reconstruct ion for the
construction and accepta nce of outdoor wa ter and sewerage pipelin~ works in urban pub·
lie facility a nd industrial enterpr ise ; but not appiica bl e to construction < tnd acceptance of
water < ind sewerage µipeline with s pecia l requirements in indu s trial enterprise.
1.0.3 Variety , s peci fi culion a nd property o f r aw ma terial , scml- l'inished product and
fi nished product used for waler and sewerage pipeline works must comJJIY with requ ire-
1nents of r elevant n a t ional s tandards and des ign r eq uirements; products contacting the
drinking water n1ust comply with relevant sanitary req uirc•ments. Elin1inated and unallow-
able products p ublic procla inled by the nation must not be u er!.
1.0 ...t For the construction and acceptance of water and sewerage pipeline works, not
only lhe requ1reme11ts stiµulated in this Code, but also those in the < ..urrent relevant ones
of the nation shall be complit-d wi1h.
2 Terms
2.0.1 P ressure pipeline
This Code refers to v1ater and sewerage pipeline with working pressure of greater
than or equal to 0.1 ;\-1Pa.
2.0.2 Non-pressure pipeline
T his Code refers to water and sewerage pipeline wi th work ing pressure of less than
0. lMPa.
2.0.3 Rigid pipeline
It mainly reli es on pi peline with ducted body materia l st rength support ing the exter-
nal force , the pipeline deforrnation is small under external load effect, < 1nd the pipeline
invalidation is due co control of pipe wall strength. This Code refers to reinforced con-
crete . pres tressed (self-stressing) concre te pipeline and prestressed concrete cylinder
pipeline.
2.0.4 Flexibie µipeline
Pipeline with obvious deforma tion under external load effect, the ver tical load is
mainly balancing by elastic resistance generated by soil rr111ss on both sides of the pipe-
line . ;incl the pipt=dine invaliclation is generally caused by defonnation instead of by pipe
w;lll dest.-uction. This Codt> m< tinly refers to ductile cast iron pipeline of stet'! pipe .

This Code refers to a general designation for fiberglass pipe or fiber glass reinforce-
ment thern1osctting plastic pipe (''fiber glass reinforced plastics pipe" for short), un-
plasricized polyvinyi chloride pipe ( UPVC) , polyethylene pipe (PE) , polypropylene
pipe (PP) and t heir steel lastic compound pipe
2.0.8 Canal . ditch . channel
It refers to conveyance water passage fo r hetero.ype ( no.-i-round) sections like rec
3.1.18 The works shall be put into operat ion after eligibil ity of the final complete ac-
ceptance.
3 .2 Basic Requiren1en ts for !he Qual ity Acceptnncc
3.2.1 Accept< ince for water and sewerage pipeline in.>tallation quality shall be made ac-
cord!ng to acceptance lots . subd!visional works . divisional (sub-division) wor!< s and
unit (subunit) wo rks on the basis of construct ion organization self checking , and the
\vho le process sha ll be in accordance w ith the foilowing requirements.
