Foreword
Electromagnetic Compatibility Requirements for Household Appliances, Electric Tools
and Similar Apparatus can be divided into the following 2 parts.
--- Part 1.Emission (GB 4343.1);
--- Part 2.Immunity (GB/T 4343.2).
This Part is Part 2 of GB/T 4343.
This Part was drafted as per the rules of GB/T 1.1-2009.
This Part replaced GB/T 4343.2-2009 Electromagnetic Compatibility - Requirements
for Household Appliances, Electric Tools and Similar Apparatus - Part 2.Immunity.
Compared with GB/T 4343.2-2009, the major technical changes of this Part are as
follows.
--- 5.1.For electrostatic testing on connecting plugs and sockets ("4kV contact
discharge shall be applied to conductive and accessible parts. For example,
metal contacts in battery compartments or sockets are excluded."), it indicates
that there is no need to test the contact. GB/T 17626.2-2018 includes detailed
instructions on how to handle electrostatic discharge (ESD) on contacts and
other surfaces. At the same time, the basic standard GB/T 17626.2-2018
requires discharge on the horizontal coupling plate (HCP) and vertical coupling
plate (VCP).
--- 5.3 and 5.4.According to GB/T 17626.6-2017, the DC power port test table is
aligned with the general standard, and it is the same for 5.3 and 5.4.
--- 5.3 and 5.4.For EUTs that use single-wire cables and no other cables, use the
test setup shown in Figure 2.The settings described in Annex F of GB/T 17626.6-
2017 shall not be used.
--- 5.5.GB/T 17626.22-2017 works as an alternative method of radiated immunity
test.
--- 5.6.Line-to-ground surge is not applicable to products that are not grounded.
This Part uses the translation method to equivalently adopt CISPR 14-2.2015
Electromagnetic Compatibility – Requirements for Household Appliances, Electric
Tools and Similar Apparatus – Part 2.Immunity – Product Family Standard.

1 Scope
Apparatus may incorporate motors, heating elements or their combination, may
contain electric or electronic circuitry, and may be powered by the mains, by
transformer, by batteries, or by any other electrical power source.
2 Normative References
The following documents are essential to the application of this document. For the

document; for the undated documents, only the latest version (including all the

3 Terms, Definitions, and Abbreviations
Physical boundary of the apparatus through which electromagnetic fields may radiate
or impinge.
Product designed for, or clearly intended for use in play by children under 14 years old.
Toy having at least one function dependent on electricity.
4 Classification of Apparatus
This category includes apparatus provided with rechargeable batteries, solar or other
similar D.C. power sources which can be charged or operated by connecting the
apparatus to the mains power. However, this apparatus shall also be tested as an
apparatus in category II while it is connected to the mains network.
5 Tests
The positive pulses are applied 90° relative to the phase angle of the A.C. line voltage
to the equipment under test, and the negative pulses are applied 270° relative to the
phase angle of the A.C. line voltage to the equipment under test. Tests with other (lower)
voltages than those given in Table 12 are not required.
Tests concerning voltage dips are carried out according to basic standard GB/T
17626.11-2008, and according to the following Table 13.The voltage interruption tests
according to GB/T 17626.11-2008 are not performed.
6 Performance Criteria
--- Performance criterion C. Temporary loss of function is allowed, provided the
function is self-recoverable or can be restored by the operation of the controls,
or by any operation specified in the instructions for use.
The selection, the specification of functions, and the permissible degradation is left to
the responsibility of the manufacturer.
7 Applicability of Immunity Tests
The description of the test, the test generator, the test methods, and the test set-up
are given in basic standards which are referred to in the tables.
Category III apparatus shall fulfill the following requirements.
Category IV apparatus shall fulfill the following requirements (if applicable).
8 Conditions during Testing
During the tests, toys are operated under normal operation. Transformer toys are
tested with the transformer supplied with the toy. If the toy is supplied without a
transformer, it shall be tested with an appropriate transformer.
9 Assessment of Conformity
For apparatus not produced in series, the test procedures shall ensure that each
individual apparatus meets the requirements when tested by the methods specified.
Results obtained for an apparatus tested when installed in its place of use (and not on
a test site) relates to that installation only, and shall not be considered representative
for any other installation.
When type-testing is carried out on a single piece of apparatus, compliance with the
requirements on the 80%/80% basis is not guaranteed.
Compliance is judged from the condition that the number of apparatuses which do not
