1 Scope
This standard specifies the requirements of the safety technology for each post of calcium carbide production process.
This standard applies to lime, carbon materials as raw materials, the use of submerged arc furnace production of calcium carbide.

3 terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
Calcium carbide furnaceofcalciumcarbide; calciumcarbidefurnace
To lime, carbon materials as raw materials, generate calcium carbide (calcium carbide) of the submerged arc furnace.
3.2
Airtightcalciumcarbidefurnace
A calcium carbide furnace for the production of calcium carbide by a closed process.
4 requirements
4.1 Technical requirements for raw material safety
4.1.1 strictly control the quality of raw materials, so that calcium carbide products meet the requirements of GB 10665.
4.1.2 electrode paste quality should meet the requirements of YB5215.
4.2 production process control safety technical indicators
4.2.1 Protection of nitrogen oxygen content of not more than 0.5%.
4.2.2 storage of calcium carbide equipment and facilities within the acetylene content of less than 0.5%.
4.2.3 Operating place air carbon monoxide content of less than 30mg/m3.
4.2.4 noise less than 80dB.
4.2.5 carbon material into the furnace water is not greater than 1%.
4.2.6 furnace pressure -10Pa ~ 10Pa.
4.3 raw materials preparation, transportation positions
4.3.1 Before operating the crusher, check whether there is any material or foreign matter in the crusher. Do not load the device with load.
