GA/T 144 Forensic Science Fingerprint Terminology
3 Terms and definitions
The terms and definitions defined in GA/T 144 and the following apply to this document.
3.1
Carbonic particle reagent
A suspension mainly composed of carbon particles, stabilizers and water.
4 Appearance principle
The carbon particles in the carbon particle reagent are fine, black, and have an adsorption force. The use of carbon particles adsorbs the difference between the handprint line and the adhesive surface of the tape.
The carbon particles adsorbed on the handprint lines show the handprints.
5 Equipment, reagents, environmental requirements
5.1 Equipment
Bamboo tweezers, brushes, utensils, water, cameras, etc.
5.2 Reagent
Carbon particle reagent.
5.3 Environmental requirements
Sanitary, clean and well ventilated.
6 Operation steps
6.1 Reagent validation
Before using carbon particle reagents to display the sticky surface fingerprints on the tape, the carbon particle reagents and the similar tape adhesive surface fingerprints should be validated.
