1 Scope
This document specifies the terms and definitions, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, storage and transportation, marking, etc. of low-elongation sandwich ropes.
This document applies to low-elongation sandwich ropes used for protection in aerial work, cave exploration, life rescue, and military and police training.

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions defined in GB/T 40273 apply to this document.
3.1
A braided rope with a diameter of 7.5mm~16mm and an elongation of ≤5%, which is composed of a rope core wrapped by a rope skin, is also called a static rope.
Note. The rope core is the main carrier, and the rope core can be a parallel structure formed by twisting multiple strands, or a braided structure; the rope sheath is mainly used for wear resistance and anti-ultraviolet aging
It is a braided structure; there may be an intermediate layer between the rope sheath and the rope core, and the intermediate layer can be in the form of a braided layer, a film layer, or a tubular layer.

Knotability coefficient K knotability
The ratio of the inner diameter of the rope knot to the diameter of the rope under the specified tension.
3.3
Ss sheathslippage
The distance value of the longitudinal slip of the rope sheath relative to the rope core.
3.4
E elongation
The ratio of the extension length of the rope to the length of the rope during the process of increasing the rope load from 50kg to 150kg.

Sheath ratio (S) --- the mass ratio of the sheath fiber of the rope to the fiber of the whole rope;
Core ratio (C) --- The mass ratio of the rope core fiber to the whole rope fiber.
