Foreword
This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This standard is modified by IWTODRAFTTM-64-2012 "How to use the tops cleanliness test system" (Methodforthe
Fibergenslivercleanlinesstestingsystem), the main differences are as follows.
a) The standard overall format is in accordance with GB/T 1.1-2009 "Standardization Work Guide Part 1. Standard Structure and Compilation"
The standard element layout rules were modified to modify the format of the standard text;
b) changed the sequence number of the IWTODRAFTTM-64-2012 "Chapter";
c) Deleted “0. Brief History”, “2. Directory”, “5. Basic Requirements” and “9. References” in IWTODRAFTTM-64-2012
section;
d) the addition of cashmere to the scope of application;
e) modified the presentation of the principle part of Chapter 4 of IWTODRAFTTM-64-2012;
f) IWTODRAFTTM-64-2012 Chapter 6 only retains "black fiber", "high blackness fiber", "colored fiber"
"Dimensions", "vegetable impurities", added "heterochromatic fibers", and deleted other terms;
g) adjust the contents of Appendix 1 of IWTODRAFTTM-64-2012 to Appendix B;
h) Appendix 2, Appendix 3 and Appendix 6 of IWTODRAFTTM-64-2012 have been deleted.

1 Scope
This standard specifies methods for the detection of heterochromatic fibers and plant impurities in sheep wool and cashmere by instrumental methods.
This standard applies to the determination of heterochromatic fibers and plant impurities in sheep tops and cashmere.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
Heterochromatic fiber non-whitefiber
Contains black fibers, high blackness fibers, and colored fibers.
3.2
Black fiber (DF1) darkfiber
Natural black fiber with a length of not less than 10 mm and a blackness level of 6 to 7.5. Among them, the blackness level reference is from Australia

3.3
High blackness fiber (DF2) verydarkfiber
Natural black fiber with a length of not less than 10 mm and a blackness level of more than 7.5.
3.4
Colored fiber (CF) colouredfiber
Other colored fibers other than black having a length of not less than 10 mm.
3.5
Vegetative impurity
Plant impurities are classified as follows.
VF1. fibrous plant-like impurities having a length of between 3 mm and 10 mm;
VF2. fibrous plant-like impurities having a length of more than 10 mm;
VNF1. non-fibrous plant impurities with a length between 3mm and 10mm;
VNF2. Non-fibrous plant-like impurities longer than 10 mm.
