Summary This standard specifies the general technical requirements, selection principles, inspection, storage and transportation, acceptance and installation, routine inspection and maintenance, and technical management for the use of rod-shaped composite insulators with a nominal voltage higher than 1000 V for overhead lines. This standard applies to the nominal voltage higher than 1000V, the frequency of 50Hz AC overhead power lines and power plants, substations with composite insulators (referred to as composite insulators). Installation location of the altitude of 1000m below the ambient temperature between -0 �� ~ +40 ��. This standard includes requirements for the selection of composite insulators under specific operating conditions.
