11 General Provisions
1.0.1 This Specification was formulated for the purpose of achieving advanced technology,
economic rationality and safe operation and also guaranteeing quality in the prestressed
construction of building engineering.
1.0.2 This Specification is applicable to the prestressed construction of concrete structures
and steel structures in buildings and general structures.
1.0.3 The construction of subitem prestressing project shall be undertook by the prestressing
professional construction organization having the corresponding qualification grade.
1.0.4 In addition to meeting this Specification, the prestressed construction of building
engineering still shall comply with those specified in the current relevant standards of the
nation.
22 Terms
2.0.1 Prestressing tendon
It is the generic term of the single steel wire or bundled steel wires, steel stranded wires,
high tensile reinforcements and steel bar that are used for applying the prestress.
2.0.2 Bonded prestressing tendon
It is a kind of prestressing tendon that is bonded with concrete directly or by grouting
after being stretched.
2.0.3 Unbonded prestressing tendon
It is a kind of prestressing tendon that is not bonded with the surrounding concrete by
coating anti-corrosive lubricating grease and wrapping plastic sheath on surface.
2.0.4 Pre-tensioning method
It is a kind of construction method that firstly stretch the prestressing tendon on pedestal
or steel mould and temporarily fixing the prestressing tendon with grip, and then pour the
concrete, and spread the prestressing tendon after the concrete reaching a certain intensity to
make the concrete produce compressive prestress.
2.0.5 Post-tensioning method
It is a kind of construction method that stretch the prestressing tendon and permanently
fix it with anchorage in such member or structure with concrete reaching a certain intensity to
