This Standard is applicable to lithium battery charger of mobile communication handset (hereinafter referred to as the charger). 2 Normative references The provisions in following documents become the provisions of this Standard through reference in this Standard. For dated references, the subsequent amendments (excluding corrigendum) or revisions do not apply to this Standard, however, parties who reach an agreement based on this Standard are encouraged to study if the latest versions of these documents are applicable. For undated references, the latest edition of the referenced document applies. Damp heat, steady state, primarily for equipment GB 4943-2001, Safety of information technology equipment GB 5013-1997, Rubber insulated cables of rated voltages up to and including 450 / 750V GB 5023-1997, Polyvinyl chloride insulated cables of rated voltages up to and including 450/750V 3 Terms and definitions For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply. when the stored energy level ≥20J or when the voltage is ≥2V, the achievable continuous power level ≥240VA 3.5 Flammability 3.5.1 Level V-0 material When tested according to 5.8, it can burn or glow, but its duration does not exceed 5s on average. The hot particles or burning drops released during combustion do not ignite the absorbent cotton. 3.5.2 Level V-1 material When tested according to 5.8, it can burn or glow, but its duration does not exceed 25s on average. The hot particles or burning drops released during combustion do not ignite the absorbent cotton. 3.5.3 Level V-2 material When tested according to 5.8, it can burn or glow, but its duration does not exceed 25s on average. The hot particles or burning drops released during combustion shall ignite the absorbent cotton. 4 Safety requirements 4.1 AC input voltage 4.1.1 Rated voltage and range The rated input voltage is 220V. The fluctuation range shall be 85%~110% of its rated value. 4.1.2 Rated frequency and range 50±2Hz. 4.2 Component requirements 4.2.1 Power cord assembly a) Power cord assembly shall meet the requirements of GB 2099. b) The rated value of the power cord assembly shall be greater than the rated value required by the charger power supply. c) The cross-sectional area of the power cord shall not be less than 0.75mm2. d) The power cord in the power cord assembly shall meet the following 4.6 Output short circuit protection The charger shall have automatic protection function for short circuit. When the fault is removed, the charger shall be able to resume work automatically. 4.7 Insulation resistance and insulation strength 4.7.1 Insulation resistance The test voltage is DC 500V. The insulation resistance of the primary circuit and secondary circuit of the charger’s main circuit to the housing as well as the insulation resistance of primary circuit to secondary circuit shall not be less than 2MΩ. 4.7.2 Insulation strength The primary circuit to the housing, the primary circuit to the secondary circuit shall be able to withstand 50Hz AC voltage (leakage current ≤10mA) with a valid value of 1500V for 1min. There shall be no breakdown and no arcing. The secondary circuit to the ground shall be able to withstand 50Hz AC voltage (leakage current ≤10mA) with a valid value of 500V for 1min. There shall be no breakdown and no arcing. 4.8 Requirements for abnormal operation and fault conditions The charger shall be designed to limit the risk of fire or electric shock due to mechanical, electrical overload or malfunction, abnormal operation or improper use. Carry out the test according to 5.7. 4.9 Material requirements 4.9.1 Flammability of material The material used in the charger housing shall be such that the ignition hazard and flame spread are minimized, be level V-2 or superior level. Carry out the test according to 5.8. 4.9.2 Printed board and component One of the following requirements shall be met. -- be level V-2 or superior level; -- be able to pass the test specified in 5.8. Perform short circuit of the charger output, and the charger shall be able to automatically protect. It shall be able to resume work automatically after troubleshooting. 5.6 Insulation test 5.6.1 Insulation resistance test Under room temperature conditions, use insulation resistance tester with DC 500V voltage to test charger primary circuit to ground, secondary circuit to ground, primary circuit to secondary circuit. The insulation resistance of the charger shall meet the requirements of 4.7.1. 5.6.2 Insulation strength test Use voltage resistance tester to carry out the insulation strength test of the charger. The charger must be tested after the insulation resistance test is completed and the insulation strength is met. The primary circuit to the housing, the primary circuit to the secondary circuit shall be able to withstand 50Hz AC voltage (leakage current ≤10mA) with a valid value of 1500V. The secondary circuit to the housing shall be able to withstand 50Hz AC voltage (leakage current ≤10mA) with a valid value of 500V. Test duration. the test voltage is gradually increased from less than half of the specified voltage value and lasts for 1min when the specified voltage value is reached. After the test, it shall meet the requirements of 4.7.2. 5.7 Abnormal work and failure test 5.7.1 Transformer overload test This test is carried out according to the requirements of Annex C1 of GB 4943. 5.7.2 Simulated failure test It can simulate the following fault conditions. -- failure of any component in the primary circuit; -- failure of any component in the secondary circuit. 5.8 Heat resistance and fireproof test Poisonous smoke may be emitted during this test.
