3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
when the stored energy level ≥20J or when the voltage is ≥2V, the achievable
continuous power level ≥240VA
3.5 Flammability
3.5.1 Level V-0 material
When tested according to 5.8, it can burn or glow, but its duration does not
exceed 5s on average. The hot particles or burning drops released during
combustion do not ignite the absorbent cotton.
3.5.2 Level V-1 material
When tested according to 5.8, it can burn or glow, but its duration does not
exceed 25s on average. The hot particles or burning drops released during
combustion do not ignite the absorbent cotton.
3.5.3 Level V-2 material
When tested according to 5.8, it can burn or glow, but its duration does not
exceed 25s on average. The hot particles or burning drops released during
combustion shall ignite the absorbent cotton.
4 Safety requirements
4.1 AC input voltage
4.1.1 Rated voltage and range
The rated input voltage is 220V. The fluctuation range shall be 85%~110% of
its rated value.
4.1.2 Rated frequency and range
50±2Hz.
4.2 Component requirements
4.2.1 Power cord assembly
a) Power cord assembly shall meet the requirements of GB 2099.
b) The rated value of the power cord assembly shall be greater than the rated
value required by the charger power supply.
c) The cross-sectional area of the power cord shall not be less than 0.75mm2.
d) The power cord in the power cord assembly shall meet the following
4.6 Output short circuit protection
The charger shall have automatic protection function for short circuit. When the
fault is removed, the charger shall be able to resume work automatically.
4.7 Insulation resistance and insulation strength
4.7.1 Insulation resistance
The test voltage is DC 500V. The insulation resistance of the primary circuit and
secondary circuit of the charger’s main circuit to the housing as well as the
insulation resistance of primary circuit to secondary circuit shall not be less than
2MΩ.
4.7.2 Insulation strength
The primary circuit to the housing, the primary circuit to the secondary circuit
shall be able to withstand 50Hz AC voltage (leakage current ≤10mA) with a
valid value of 1500V for 1min. There shall be no breakdown and no arcing.
The secondary circuit to the ground shall be able to withstand 50Hz AC voltage
(leakage current ≤10mA) with a valid value of 500V for 1min. There shall be no
breakdown and no arcing.
4.8 Requirements for abnormal operation and fault conditions
The charger shall be designed to limit the risk of fire or electric shock due to
mechanical, electrical overload or malfunction, abnormal operation or improper
use. Carry out the test according to 5.7.
4.9 Material requirements
4.9.1 Flammability of material
The material used in the charger housing shall be such that the ignition hazard
and flame spread are minimized, be level V-2 or superior level. Carry out the
test according to 5.8.
4.9.2 Printed board and component
One of the following requirements shall be met.
-- be level V-2 or superior level;
-- be able to pass the test specified in 5.8.
Perform short circuit of the charger output, and the charger shall be able to
automatically protect. It shall be able to resume work automatically after
troubleshooting.
5.6 Insulation test
5.6.1 Insulation resistance test
Under room temperature conditions, use insulation resistance tester with DC
500V voltage to test charger primary circuit to ground, secondary circuit to
ground, primary circuit to secondary circuit. The insulation resistance of the
charger shall meet the requirements of 4.7.1.
5.6.2 Insulation strength test
Use voltage resistance tester to carry out the insulation strength test of the
charger.
The charger must be tested after the insulation resistance test is completed and
the insulation strength is met.
The primary circuit to the housing, the primary circuit to the secondary circuit
shall be able to withstand 50Hz AC voltage (leakage current ≤10mA) with a
valid value of 1500V. The secondary circuit to the housing shall be able to
withstand 50Hz AC voltage (leakage current ≤10mA) with a valid value of 500V.
Test duration. the test voltage is gradually increased from less than half of the
specified voltage value and lasts for 1min when the specified voltage value is
reached.
After the test, it shall meet the requirements of 4.7.2.
