YB/T 101-2018 YB FERROUS METALLURGY INDUSTRY STANDARD OF THE PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC OF CHINA ICS 73.080 D 52 Replacing YB/T 101-2005 Synthesized MgO-CaO-Fe2O3 material for EAF bottom ISSUED ON: OCTOBER 22, 2018 IMPLEMENTED ON: APRIL 01, 2019 Issued by: Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of PRC Table of Contents Foreword ... 3 1 Scope ... 4 2 Normative references ... 4 3 Designation ... 4 4 Technical requirements ... 5 5 Test method ... 5 6 Inspection rules ... 6 7 Packaging, marking, transportation, storage, quality certificate ... 6 Appendix A (Normative) Inspection method for room temperature compressive strength and permanent linear change after heating ... 7 Synthesized MgO-CaO-Fe2O3 material for EAF bottom 1 Scope This standard specifies the designation, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, transportation, storage, quality certificate of synthesized MgO-CaO-Fe2O3 materials for EAF bottoms. This standard is applicable to synthesized MgO-CaO-Fe2O3 materials for steelmaking EAF bottoms, chromium-iron alloy, nickel-iron alloy EAF bottoms, manganese-iron alloy EAF bottoms. 2 Normative references The following documents are indispensable for the application of this document. For all dated references, only the dated version is applicable to this document. For any undated referenced document, the latest version (including all amendments) shall apply to this document. GB/T 2007.7 General rules for the sampling and sample preparation of minerals in bulk - The method for determination of size by manual sieving GB/T 2999 Refractory materials - Determination of bulk density of granular materials GB/T 5069 Chemical analysis of magnesia-alumina refractories GB/T 17617 Rule of sampling and inspection for refractory raw materials GB/T 21114 Chemical analysis of refractory products by XRF - Fused cast bead method YB/T 5142 The general rules for packing, marking, transporting, saving and certification of metallurgical mine 3 Designation 3.1 Designation Synthesized MgO-CaO-Fe2O3 materials for EAF bottom are divided into four designations according to physical and chemical indicators: Appendix A (Normative) Inspection method for room temperature compressive strength and permanent linear change after heating A.1 Scope This method is applicable to the test of room temperature compressive strength and permanent linear change after heating of synthesized MgO-CaO-Fe2O3 materials for EAF bottom. A.2 Normative references The following documents are indispensable for the application of this document. For all dated references, only the dated version applies to this document. For all undated references, the latest version (including all amendments) applies to this document. GB/T 5072 Refractories - Determination of cold compressive strength GB/T 5988 Refractory products - Determination of permanent change in dimension on heating A.3 Permanent linear change after heating A.3.1 Specimen preparation Take 2 pieces of qualified burnt magnesia bricks (MZ-95) with a size of (230×115×65) mm. Use a hollow drill with a diameter of 65 mm to drill 3 holes of diameter × height: (65 × 65) mm evenly distributed in the height direction of each brick. Then put the drilled bricks into a drying oven and dry them at 150 °C for 2 h. Place the dried drilled bricks on the pre-prepared pad bricks, which have a size of (230 × 115 × 65) mm. The surface of the drilled bricks and pad bricks must be flat; there must be no gaps on the contact surface between the drilled bricks and the pad bricks. The drilled bricks and pad bricks are used as a set of molds for standby. Take the qualified products, mix them evenly again; pour them into 3 holes with diameter × height: (65 × 65) mm; tamp them manually with tamping tools (fork, hammer). The density after tamping shall be greater than 2.7 g/cm3; the surface of the material after tamping shall be on the same plane as the brick. A.3.2 Test procedure The test is carried out by measuring ruler method. Before the hole brick is put into the ......
