section through vulcanization or other technique and assisting with aluminium alloy or
other profiles.
3.7
exterior vestibule diaphragm
A part which is installed at the end of car body and made of metal framework and
rubber profiles or composite materials, to reduce drag, mainly including compression-
type exterior vestibule diaphragm and non-contact-type exterior vestibule diaphragm.
4 Working conditions
4.1 Environmental temperature. - 40°C ~ + 40°C.
4.2 Relative humidity (when the average minimum temperature of the month is 25°C).
≤ 95%.
4.3 Altitude. ≤ 1 500 m.
4.4 Maximum air speed. ≤ 15 m/s, and occasionally 33 m/s.
5 Main characteristics
5.1 Passage width. ≥ 800 mm (not including area where there is protective apron at
the bottom).
5.2 Passage height. ≥ 1 885 mm.
5.3 Curve negotiating capability. complying with the requirements for minimum curve
radius negotiating test for car.

6.4.3.1 After assembly, the gaps between vestibule diaphragm frame and diaphragm
door frame shall be consistent on the right and left.
6.4.3.2 The joint faces between plates shall be coated with antirust paint.
7 Test
7.1 Minimum negotiating curve radius
7.1.1 Test method
7.1.1.1 Test bench simulation test
Mount vestibule diaphragm on the negotiating curve test bench and couple it. Simulate
the motion state of vestibule diaphragm when the train shall be capable of negotiating
minimum constant-radius curve and minimum constant-radius reverse curve. Carry out
the test for three times.
7.1.1.2 Running test
Running test shall be carried out as specified in TB/T 2218-2010.

When the maximum positions are achieved in each test state, stop to carry out the
following inspection.
a) whether the locking is reliable, whether tarpaulin and rubber capsule etc. has any
crack or pull-out, whether the welded places of connection framework cracks or
fractures, and the sealing conditions;
b) whether there is any interference or damage between all parts;
c) whether the fasteners become loose or damaged.
7.2 Air-tightness test
7.2.1 Test preparation
