This standard replaces QC/T 764-2006 “Motor vehicles - Hydraulic braking systems - Pipes tapped holes male fittings and hose end fittings”. As compared with QC/T 764-2006, the main technical changes are as follows: - MODIFY the basic dimensions, limit deviations and rupture pressures of some pipes (see Table 1; Table 1 of the 2006 version); - MODIFY the yield strength of the metal pipe material from 200 MPa to 180 MPa (see Table 2; Table 3 of the 2006 version); - For the salt spray test standard, USE GB/T 10125-2012 to replace GB 2423.17 (see 3.1.3 and 3.4.2; 3.4 of the 2006 version); - MODIFY the surface treatment requirements for metal pipes and threaded joints (see 3.1.3 and 3.4.2; 3.4 and 5.2 of the 2006 version); - MODIFY the tolerance of D3 (see Table 3; Table 2 of the 2006 version); - ADD two new types of tapped hole openings (see Figure 2b and Figure 3); - MODIFY the tolerance of D7 and the dimensions of L1; ADD the dimensions of D10; DELETE the dimensions of L7 (see Table 4; Table 4 of the 2006 version); - MODIFY the dimensions of the opening of wrench for tapped fittings (see Table 5; Table 5 of the 2006 version); - MODIFY the minimum rupture torque of the M10 × 1 and M12 × 1 tapped fittings (see Table 6; Table 6 of the 2006 version). This standard was drafted by the redrafting method and with reference to ISO 4038:1996 “Road vehicles - Hydraulic braking system - Simple flare pipes, tube tapped holes, male fittings and hose end fittings”. The degree of conformity with ISO 4038 is not equivalent. Please note that this standard may involve patents. The issuing organization of this standard does not assume responsibility for identifying these patents. This standard was proposed by and shall be under the jurisdiction of the National Automotive Standardization Technical Committee (SAC/TC 114). Road vehicles - Hydraulic braking system - Simple flare pipes, tube tapped holes, male fittings and hose end fittings 1 Scope This standard specifies the basic dimensions, performance, material requirements for simple flare pipes (hereinafter referred to as “metal pipes”), tube tapped holes, male fittings and hose end fittings for hydraulic braking system of road vehicles. This standard applies to road vehicles which are equipped with hydraulic braking systems. 2 Normative references The following documents are essential to the application of this document. For the dated documents, only the versions with the dates indicated are applicable to this document; for the undated documents, only the latest version (including all the amendments) are applicable to this standard.
