This Standard is applicable to cold-rolled and cold-rolled coated 5000 series aluminum alloy plates and strips (hereinafter referred to as aluminum plates and aluminum strips) for automobiles with a thickness of 0.70mm~4.50mm produced by Baowu Aluminum Technology Co., Ltd. 2 Normative References The following documents are essential to the application of this document. For the dated documents, only the versions with the dates indicated are applicable to this document; for the undated documents, only the latest version (including all the amendments) is applicable to this document. GB/T 228.1 Metallic Materials - Tensile Testing - Part 1: Method of Test at Room Temperature GB/T 1031 Geometrical Product Specifications (GPS) - Surface Texture: Profile Method - Surface Roughness Parameters and Their Values GB/T 3190 Wrought Aluminum and Aluminum Alloys - Chemical Composition Limits GB/T 3199 Wrought Aluminum and Aluminum Alloy Products - Packing, Marking, Transporting and Storing GB/T 5027 Metallic Materials – Sheet and Strip – Determination of Plastic Strain Ratio (r - Values) GB/T 5028 Metallic Materials - Sheet and Strip - Determination of Tensile Strain Hardening Exponent (n-Values) 5 Information Required for Ordering 5.1 The user shall provide the following information when ordering: a) Name of category; b) Designation and state; c) Usage; d) Product specifications and dimensions, dimensional accuracy; e) Surface texture; f) Type and thickness of passivation layer; g) Type and thickness of oiling; h) Surface quality requirements; i) Packaging method; j) Coding requirements; k) Others. 5.2 If the user has special requirements, it shall be handled through negotiation between the two parties. 6 Technical Requirements 6.1 Chemical compositions The chemical composition of 5000 series aluminum alloy automobile plates and aluminum alloy strips shall comply with the provisions of Table 6. The measurement value of the size is not allowed to be rounded-off, and the method of determining the limit value shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 8170. 7.2.2 Thickness, length, width, and outer diameter of roll The thickness of the base material shall be measured at the distance of no less than 25mm from the side and no less than 115mm from the corner of the end, by a micrometer with an accuracy of 0.001mm or a measuring tool with the same accuracy. 7.2.3 Unevenness Take a section of specimen (the specimen shall include the wave part of the product as much as possible) with a length of 1500mm from the strip, place the specimen freely on the platform, and check the wave height and wave number in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 3880.3. 7.2.4 Side curvature The side curvature of the product is tested in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 3880.3. 7.2.5 Warping height on the end Cut a 1500mm long plate arbitrarily and freely place it on the platform. When it is balanced stably, use a steel tape with an accuracy of 1mm to measure the gap between the two ends of the plate and the platform, that is, the warping height wave height. 7.2.6 Split level, tower type The split level and tower type of the product shall be inspected with tools of corresponding accuracy. 7.3 Tensile mechanical properties at room temperature The tensile test at room temperature of the product shall be carried out according to the method specified in GB/T 16865. The test method of strain hardening index n value for the tensile mechanical properties at room temperature shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 5028; and the test method of plastic strain ratio r value shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 5027. The yield point elongation rate and the total elongation rate at the maximum force shall be measured in accordance with the method specified in GB/T 228.1. 7.4 Surface roughness The surface roughness shall be measured in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1031. 7.5 Surface oiling The amount of oil applied on the surface shall be measured according to the method negotiated by the supplier and the purchaser. 7.6 Surface passivation layer The thickness of the passivation layer shall be measured according to the method specified in GB/T 8013.3. 7.7 Inspection method of appearance quality The appearance quality of aluminum plates and strips is visually inspected. When necessary, the defect size may use the size measurement tool to define; and the depth of the defect may be determined by grinding. 8 Inspection Rules 8.1 Inspection and acceptance 8.1.1 The strip shall be inspected by the supplier to ensure that the quality of the strip meets the requirements of this standard and the purchase order (or contract); and fill in the quality guarantee. 8.1.2 The purchaser shall inspect the products received in accordance with the provisions of this Standard. If the inspection result does not conform to the provisions of this Standard and the purchase order (or contract), it shall be submitted to the supplier in written form; and be solved through the negotiation between the supplier and the purchaser. Objections related to appearance quality and size deviations shall be submitted within one month from the date of receipt of the product; and objections related to other properties shall be submitted within three months from the date of receipt of the product. If arbitration is required, it can be entrusted to an organization recognized by both the supplier and the purchaser, and samples shall be taken on the purchaser's side jointly. 8.2 Batching The strips shall be submitted for acceptance in batches, and each batch shall be composed of the products with the same designation, state and specification. The weight of each batch is not limited. When required, it can be negotiated by the two parties and indicate in the purchase order (or contract). 8.3 Inspection items Each batch of strips shall be inspected for chemical composition, size deviation, test), even if one indicator is unqualified, the re-inspection is unqualified, and the entire roll or batch is unqualified. 9 Marking, Packaging, Transportation, Storage and Quality Certificate 9.1 Marking and packaging The packaging, marking and inspection documents of 5000 series cold-rolled aluminum alloy plates and strips for automobiles shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 3199. If the purchaser has special requirements for packaging, it shall be indicated in the contract. 9.1.1 Product marking The following marks (or labels) shall be printed on each roll of products that have passed the inspection: a) Product name; b) Designation; c) State; d) Size and specifications; e) Product batch number or roll number; f) Net weight; [Translator’s note: items g ~ i are not existed] j) The inspection seal of the supplier's quality inspection department or the quality inspector. 9.1.2 Mark of the packing box The mark of packaging box of the product shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 3199. 9.2 Packaging, transportation and storage The packaging method of the product shall be indicated in the purchase order (or contract).
