This Standard is applicable to high-strength steel plates for large heat input welding (welding heat input ≤100kJ/cm) and low welding crack sensitive pressure vessels produced by Baoshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. 2 Normative References The provisions in following documents become the provisions of this Document through reference in this Document. For the dated documents, only the versions with the dates indicated are applicable to this Document; for the undated documents, only the latest version (including all the amendments) is applicable to this Document. Use the first letter of Energy (in English) "E" to indicate the high heat input characteristics; and use the first letters of Crack Free (in English) "CF" to indicate low welding crack sensitivity. The quality grade requires -20°C impact test by default. When -40°C and below impact test is required, it is indicated by the letter “L” in “Low temperature”; and “1” and “2” are used to distinguish -40°C and -50°C impact tests, respectively. EXAMPLE 1: B610E B – the first pinyin letter of "Bao" in Baoshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd.; 610 – 610 is the specified minimum tensile strength value, in MPa; E - the first letter of Energy (in English) "E" to indicate the high heat input characteristics. EXAMPLE 2: B610CF-L2 B – the first pinyin letter of "Bao" in Baoshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd.; 5 Size, Shape, Weight and Allowable Deviation 5.1 The allowable deviation of the thickness of the steel plate shall be in accordance with the Class-B requirements in GB/T 709. According to the requirements of the purchaser and the agreement between the supplier and the buyer, it can also meet the requirements of Class-C in GB/T 709. 5.2 The steel plate shall be delivered according to the theoretical weight; and the thickness used for the theoretical weight shall be the arithmetic average of the maximum and minimum allowable thickness of the steel plate. 5.3 The other dimensions, shapes, weights and allowable deviations of the steel plates shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 709. 6 Technical Requirements 6.1 Designations and chemical composition 6.1.1 The steel designation and chemical composition (melting analysis) shall comply with the provisions of Table 2. 6.1.2 The allowable deviation of the chemical composition of the steel plate shall comply with the provisions of Table 2 in GB/T 222-2006, but the upper deviation of the allowable deviation of the P content shall be 0.003%; and the upper deviation of the allowable deviation of the S content shall be 0.002%. 6.2 Smelting method The steel is smelted by an oxygen converter and processed in a vacuum. ......
