After negotiation between the supplier and the purchaser, other methods of higher requirements may also be used for smelting. When the purchaser specifies a certain smelting method, it shall be indicated in the contract. 5.2.2 Pipe blank manufacturing method Pipe blanks can be manufactured by continuous casting, die casting or hot rolling (forging). Continuous casting pipe blanks shall comply with the provisions of YB/T 4149. Hot rolled (forged) tube pipes shall comply with the provisions of YB/T 5222. Die-cast pipe blanks can be implemented with reference to the provisions of hot-rolled (forged) pipe blanks. 5.2.3 Steel pipe manufacturing method Steel pipes shall be manufactured by hot rolled (expanded) or cold drawn (rolled) seamless method. When the purchaser specifies a method to manufacture steel pipes, it shall be indicated in the contract. 5.3 Delivery status 5.3.1 Hot rolled (expanded) steel pipes can be delivered in hot rolled (expanded) or heat treated condition. When the purchaser requests the heat treatment status, it shall be indicated in the contract. 5.3.2 Cold drawn (rolled) steel pipes shall be delivered in an annealed or high temperature tempered condition. According to the requirements of the purchaser, after negotiation between the supplier and the purchaser, and indicated in the contract, the cold drawn (rolled) steel pipe can be delivered in cold drawing (rolling) or other heat treatment conditions. 5.4 Mechanical properties 5.4.1 Tensile properties The longitudinal tensile properties of the steel pipe in the delivery status shall comply with the requirements of Table 7. a) When using eddy current testing, it shall meet the requirements of acceptance level E4H or E4 in GB/T 7735-2016. b) When using magnetic flux leakage detection, it shall meet the requirements of acceptance level F4 or ISO10893-1 in GB/T 12606-2016. 5.7 Surface quality The inner and outer surfaces of steel pipes shall be free from visible cracks, folds, crusting, rolling and separation. These defects shall be completely removed. The depth of removal shall not exceed the lower deviation of the nominal wall thickness. The actual wall thickness at the cleaning site shall not be less than the minimum allowed by the wall thickness. Other local imperfections that do not exceed the deviation below the wall thickness are allowed to exist. 5.8 Ultrasonic testing According to the requirements of the purchaser, after negotiation between the supplier and the purchaser, and indicated in the contract, the steel pipe can be ultrasonically tested, and the acceptance level is L4 in GB/T 5777-2008. 5.9 Galvanized layer According to the requirements of the purchaser, after negotiation between the supplier and the purchaser, and indicated in the contract, the steel pipe can be galvanized for delivery. If there is any doubt about the presence or absence of a zinc layer on the bottom surface of the red metal copper deposit, the red metal copper deposit may be scraped off, where one to several drops of dilute hydrochloric acid are dropped. If there is a zinc layer, there is active hydrogen production. If there is a zinc layer, there is active hydrogen production. In addition, it can also be determined by qualitative test of zinc, that is, the acid solution collected by a small piece of filter paper or a pipette is collected and neutralized with ammonium hydroxide to make it weak acidity. Introduce hydrogen sulfide into this solution to see if white zinc sulfide precipitate is formed. A.8 Galvanized layer adhesion After the steel pipe with an outer diameter of not more than 60.3mm is galvanized, the adhesion test of the galvanized layer shall be carried out with bending test. During the test, the bent sample shall be free of filler, the bending radius is 8 times the outer diameter of the steel pipe, and the bending angle is 90°. After the test, the sample shall not peel off the zinc layer. According to the requirements of the purchaser, the supplier and the purchaser shall negotiate and indicate in the contract that the steel pipe with an outer diameter greater than 60.3mm may be subject to the flattening test for the adhesion test of the galvanized layer. The length of the flattened sample is not less than 64mm. During the test, when the distance between the two plates is 3/4 of the outer diameter of the steel pipe, the sample shall not peel off the zinc layer. A.9 Surface quality of galvanized layer The inner and outer surfaces of the steel pipe shall be completely galvanized, and there shall be no black spots and bubbles that are not plated with zinc, allowing for a rough surface and local zinc tumors. After the steel pipe is galvanized, the surface can be passivated.
